"burst mode" Yes, I was.
That fixed it....feeling much better now.
New X100s owner here.
Flash box is greyed out in Q. menu.
Nothing happens when pressing flash section of Command Dial.
I am not in Silent Mode.
Any suggestions? TIA.
No plans to buy one yet but if I did....I'd use my
35mm f1.4 AIS and 105mm f2.5 AI.
I thought there would be more buzz about this lens. It strikes me as an ideal zoom range for NEX cameras.
There have been some owner reviews on Amazon and B&H but....
If I were still shooting D300/700 quite likely...
but now with a D800e for landscape, NEX 7 and Fuji X100S for everything else, guess not.
Amazon charges the almost $100 sales tax though?
Using the Pet Rock of photography?
Yes, IQ is a question that needs an answer...aside from that, the 16-70 looks quite good.
Right now my NEX 7's only AF lenses are the Sigma Trinity of 19/30/60.
It would be nice to have a mid-range...
According to Photozone.de tests, the Sigma 60 is considerably better wide open than the Sony 50 f1.8 stopped down to its best aperture.
Thanks, Mark...and thanks for taking time to look.
I never use a filter unless there is a photographic purpose which, in film days, was frequent.
Today, only CPL or ND, and only when needed.
OTOH, I always use a lens hood.
Photographer since 1971...
Ben, I've been to Paris twice in the past year.
Shot everything with NEX 7 Sigma 19 and Sigma 30...never felt the need for anything else.
No tripod...push camera against flat surface, release...
Glad to help, George :-)
although I must confess I'm wavering...the Sigma 60mm 2.8, according to Photozone.de tests has much higher resolving power....yes, it's only a 2.8 but it's a lot better...
Good News, guys!
Because the chrome version looks like something from ToysRUs I have been waiting and waiting but this thread has convinced me to order it anyway. It IS a very good performer and...
Aha! Makes sense.
Thanks Mike. :-)
The question is why nothing but "10.5mm" as a response to my page 5 list of lenses I would keep.
I am not the Original Poster.
If driving a rental car with luggage space, traveling through the countryside, I would take theNikons and every lens I own (You just never know what you'll need, so why not?)

35mm f 1.4 AI S Nikon
50mm f 1.8 G Nikon
