The First rule of photography is; there are no rules. The Second rule of photography is; the rule of Thirds. The Third rule of photography is; if the the Second rule does not apply, deffer to the First rule.

No element of this photo is of any photographic interest save for the bat whole flew in at the right moment. An image like this deserves a quick "wow cool shot!" exclamation and that is what its got.

*Please read the photo "objectives" of this particular challenge. It IS about objects of surprise appearing into the image frame and NOT fine art photography. My point is that this is a winning shot within the Challenge objectives and a couple of small-minded-pin-heads were clearly attempting to sabotage the likelihood of this entry being the winning shot.

Can anyone tell me why this excellent winning image deserves a 1/2 star and a 1 star vote(s)? Is this some moron trying to manipulate the vote standings for their own entry? The moderator needs to check into this BS maybe, and ban this idiot(s).

> It's also bit of a steal from Manual Alvarez Bravo.

Hahaha....! I had NO idea who " Manuel Alvarez Bravo " (you spelled it wrong dude!) until I Googled the name, nor had I ever heard of him until you posted my so called "thievery". I just suppose my models had been waiting there for 80 some years waiting for me to arrive and plagiarize the shot. LOL
What is even more bizarre than that is, exactly ONE week AFTER I posted the "Cheap Beer" shot from my Key West visit, a DPreviewer posted the exact same vendor/view/angle as my shot plus SEVERAL more! Now I'm double offended. Some one before and now after me stole my shot!!!!!!!

Too fricken phunny!

I hate this f'n place.

Thank you kindly! The photo sharp assistance came from the SONY(Minolta) "G" lens a 70-200:2.8/SSMG and the in-camera anti-shake (SSS).

Ed, I am really surprised by the seven, .05 low score votes on your entry! This is a fine image IMHO and does not deserve this many lowest scores. Clearly this is some kind of strategic voting to lower the placement standings on images that others feel are threatening to there own entries.

It never fails to amaze me how low some scum people can and do stoop to on the net.

It really is an impressive structure to be in and then try to capture its scope.
