you're welcome! As a mineral collector/amateur photographer I've been wanting to apply these techniques for quite some time now, but I haven't done so yet because it demands...a lot of time ;-)

I like my images to look natural, so the war-movie treatment will never do it for me anyway, but what concerns me most in the case of "documentary" photography are staged images.

...and now imagine a product with a much more complex geometry, internal reflections, and imperfections that you want to hide. Welcome to the world of mineral (crystals)...

@rrccad: naturally turning up the ISO is to some degree a substitute for mechanical image stabilisation, but this is a camera feature and so is rather beside the point of this lens review.
