I found this comment interesting: "there's not a lot of photography-specific value in our subscription products" So ... they know they are screwing the photographers, and don't care. What are...

Yes ... that will have to do for me (I actually use Aperture rather than Lightroom). I sometimes need something more powerful than what Lightroom / Aperture have to offer, but Photoshop CS5 should...

The new plan makes sense for professionals. However, for amateur photographers like myself, this is a HUGE price increase. I paid $200 for a CS5 Photoshop upgrade 3 years ago ($5.50 / month over...

Thanks for the feedback, and I'm sorry to hear that you're having troubles. It's a real bummer to have something like that happen in the middle of a big trip. I think I might cancel my order and...

Hmm ... that does sound bad. Once it receives a GPS lock, does it later lose it, or is the issue that it always takes a very long time for the initial lock? Also, how clear is your view of the sky?...

The previous comment about "moving large distances" is an important one.GPS units need to know their approximate location in order to figure out where to look for satellites. If you power off a GPS...

85mm f1.8 is a great value lens, and nice for portraits. The 24-105 is a decent landscape lens as well as a general purpose lens. The 70-200 f4 is also an incredible lens. Supposedly the IS version...

I recommend reading over the reviews at this site (in addition to reviewing all current Canon lenses, there are recommendations for best portrait lens, best general purpose (zoom?) lens, best macro...

If image quality is important, I've heard good things about the new 24-70 that will be coming out this summer. It is a bit pricey, but it is a very useful range and f2.8 is nice (and on the 5DIII,...

I have both a 4/3 (GF3) and a 5d3 and love both of them. My 4/3 has the Lumix 20mm pancake on it all of the time, and it takes incredible pictures and does great in low light! However, the GF3 could...

From the spec sheet:

Yes! I pretty much gave up on AI Servo on my 5D2 as it barely worked. On the 5D3 it is amazing!

I'm wondering the same thing ... I love the silent mode and I am using it most of the time. I was hoping that the silent mode would actually increase the lifespan or be neutral at worst. I'm not...
