justmeMN: Sony advertises that NEX cameras offer "DSLR quality that fits in your pocket". The pockets of Japanese jeans must be WAY bigger than the pockets of my USA jeans. (grin)

Is a mirrorless camera that won't fit in your pants pocket more convenient than a DSLR that won't fit in your pants pocket? Not for me.

Sure my pocket is same as yours :-)
How about nex-3/5 and 16mm? I think it's OK with your shirt pocket. if not. you go m4/3.

smileblog: Why is the ISO range not same as NEX-5N?
- NEX-F3: 200-16000
- NEX-5N: 100-25600

I think both cameras have same sensor.

you mean it's just their marketing issue?
Kidding. Oh, just sad.

Anyway. Thank you reply.

Baudesign: Canon is loosing it. This whole light leak issue is a joke. The 5D Mark III is 1000$ too expensive, tsunami or not, Fukushima nuclear waste or not. Imagine buying a Porsche with leaking tires, and the company would come up with a bike pump in the trunk to inflate your tires every now and then, instead of changing the set. Ridiculous. They have lost me as a customer.

FYI, 5D2 already had same issue, which never been claimed by anyone.

How do you think of the pictures taken by 5D2?
5D2 is also joke and worthless for you?

nravindra: Comments in this forum are hilarious… Always ends up with “Canon Vs Nikon”. I wonder how many imposters from Canon and Nikon are in here, going at each other. It’s a Coke war! Finally, it’s not helping the consumers a bit. Just a time pass…

I understood what you wanna mean, BUT I think it's not just/only gear site. See the galleries uploaded here. And also, for me, a camera should be a tool for taking photos, not just an object.

They looove and enjoy arguing somehow, not taking pictures with a camera. We'd better just ignore them.

smileblog: I swear there is something wrong with the Studio scene comparison.
The picture of D3200 is very bad and blurred.

It that because of too high aperture? or just not well-focused?

How do you think of it?

Thanks your reply
Yeah, I hope it's just focus issue.

Yeah, I agree with that.

plasnu: Better dynamic range than 5d3?

It is NOT exactly same as the Sony NEX-7 sensor. However, I believe this 24MP sensor would be better than Sony's, otherwise Nikon just use Sony's.

Valiant Thor: I'm just a mid-grade prosumer and wanted to ask those posting here if this D3200 will most likely be on par with the Sony NEX-7 given the same or similar sensors? I have a few nice Nikon lenses and thought the D3200 would stack up pretty well against the NEX-7 for a nice carry-around camera and some video. Any constructive thoughts regarding the pros and cons of these similar cameras would be appreciated. Thanks!

At least Nikon officially says the sensor was made by Nikon not other company, and from the officially samples, I think image quality of it is same or better than NEX-7.

Video?
If you really care, I'd better go with GH-2. In my opinion NEX-7's video is just clap, sorry.

haha, Yeah I guess so.

BTW, Nikon says this 24MP sensor was developed by Nikon, not other company (means not Sony).

OMG.. I wish this specifications would be 5D3's.

Come on Canon! Why you're so cheeseparing.

Hmm.. Obviously the camera and lens have high resolution :)

However, Honestly, some of sample pics are not so good. Some pics have a cyan cast and in others I can't get where the focus is. I guess it's not the photographer, it's the camera. Poor AF system and still hard to control its color even for pros.

Valentinian: This camera makes sense with a fixed lens only like the 20mm. But that's me. At Panasonic they must know better, because they offer the camera as a kit with a zoom... strange.

A lot of casual shooter who just use a compact camera never know a fixed lens and they usually wanna have zoom lens. As for GF5, We are NOT main targets :p

In Japan, its brochure is already available in a shop. They say pictures in it are so good and expect it'd be greatest Tamron's lens ever :)
