Replied in Does anyone own both the D7k & the D3200 ?
The D3200 became available at the beginning of May and there have already been dozens of threads with sample images from early adopters on the forum!
Here's a recent...

Replied in Did Nikon make an EPIC BLUNDER?
That says more about rip-off Britain than anything else.
The D40 launched at $600 and the D3200 is $700 which, on balance, is a fair price considering we've since passed through a financial...

Thanks for the info.

Replied in Bump!
OK something went wrong. I was trying to bump a topic discussing Auto ISO on the D3200 and whether it inherited the new capabilities seen in the D4 and D800.

Created thread Bump!
Perhaps some of the early adopters could answer this one?

Replied in Has Nikon Boxed Itself in with the D3200?
Build isn't the issue, it's the lack of spot metering on that model which really stands out.
As someone that advocates for as many features as possible on a camera, I'm surprised you didn't...

Replied in No!
Alternatively, if you can't find a D70, the D50 and D40 also share the same high speed sync.

Replied in Not a problem
That's really funny! :D
The armchair corporate strategists on these forums never fail to crack me up!!

Replied in Fuji X100: now my D7000 is getting dust
I believe the white blob issue only affected the X10.

Replied in 24MP wasted on D3200!?
Not sure Cuba would be very popular as a holiday destination if what you say is correct. :)

Replied in D3200-supposed to have better video but no tilt LCD?
You can't shoot video, or use live view, through the viewfinder of the D3200 because the mirror will be flipped up.

Replied in Nikon D5200?
Oh trust me, he's had plenty of practice at it! Here's what he had to say about the D40, back in 2006....

Replied in Nikon D5200?
Nope, not annoyed at all. Just confused as to why you've flogged the same dead horse for over half a decade. :)
Losing side of the argument? I believe I called the lack of bracketing in the...

Replied in Nikon D5200?
To be fair, you lost interest with Nikon's entry-level offerings around 2006, but that hasn't stopped you complaining about them ever since. :D

Replied in 50mm f/1.8G perspective distortion for children's portraits on DX?
From your posting history I see that you possess a 17-55 mm zoom lens. Set it to 50 mm and you can see for yourself whether the perspective distortion is acceptable for you at that focal length.

Replied in Let's stop making excuses shall we?
Now you're just being silly Barry! :)
*All* phase detect AF systems are prone to focusing errors, for a variety of reasons related to manufacturing tolerances of lens and body as well as the...

Replied in Let's stop making excuses shall we?
You don't understand. When a feature is removed from a range, it's incredibly unlikely to make a reappearance at a later date. In fact, it's much more likely that the change will propagate /up/ the...

Replied in Let's stop making excuses shall we?
Set your aperture and go to live view. There's your DOF preview.
It's swings and roundabouts. Canon's entry-level offering lacks spot metering and their models up into the mid-range have an...
