maybe it'd be clever to bring the max nr of entries per user up to 2 :)
sorry but .. who cares ? .. 6 months after the announcement
nicolaiecostel: Wow, talk about deja-vu. It feels like 2010 all over again. Basicly, same sensor, same build, same IQ, same everything, except for some claims on a new AF (oh dear, pentax AF..). People are dreaming at a D800, 5Dmk3, a FF mirorless, a FF affordable camera (rumored D600), and Pentax-Ricoh re-release the K5...
.. a FF ? what for then ?as for the "dream, .. I am a Pentax user and I was dreaming a Pentax K5 with better AF capabilities, .. so I'm very happy about this announcement, .. now I'm waiting dp review results to appreciate the extend of the improvement, .. If you think that Pentax offer doesn't go far enough to meet your expectations you can always go with a Canikon, .. then you can have your FF, .. but again .. what for ?
Heie2: I find the 3 months it is taking to review this camera and the ensuing "trickle" of sections within a complete review (which gives none of these "installments" any substance and context) insulting - how many cameras have you guys reviewed in the mean time?
DPReview - Fair and Balanced, right?
Nikon D3200: announced April 19, 2012; reviewed July 2012Canon EOS 650D : announced June 8, 2012; reviewed Aug 2012Pentax K30D: announced May 21, 2012; still not reviewed at September 7, 2012
senn_b: may I know what is wrong with this ?..
thank you ..
may I know what is wrong with this ?..
exquisite design, .. oh yeah !as for its performances, I prefer to get patient and to read pf review rather than to waste time to speculate on them
marvellous view, .. effectively capturedcongrats
superb timing !..
"I don't think you have the idea of the challenge. I don't see a frame around something. lovely photo, but not quite right for this challenge. I think you'd need to remove the top of the photo to make it more of a framing." (dixit challenge host)
That's a question of perspective, .. and also of ability to see. Anyway, .. you are the host, .. you are the "judge" . Thanks for leaving me time to replace my photo
PS: I've got also some problems with your definition of "natural" ..
pretty clean and effective a work, .., great light
merited 1st place, ..marvellous pet portrait

great detail and light, .. top level portrait
A challenge without challenger, .. cool. I wonder whether there was any antecedent of kind on DPR
pdelux: I'm tired of hearing all the haters moan about DPR outsourcing this review.
Ultimately WHO CARES?.. outsourcing has been happening since the dawn of time.Canon and Nikon DO NOT make all their components exclusively in house. No business or organisation should be condemned because they outsource the labour.
At the end of the day its the Quality Control that matters, and DPR obviously feel that the reviewers Qualifications and work is worthy of their approval, and they published it.
This is business its not personal, all the Pentax loyalists are just trying to find reason to vent their fustration about the low score. Maybe they should vent to pentax, and inspire them to make a better "all round" camera.
I'm a Pentax user, .. outsourced or not I'm grateful to DP for having issued this review, .., it sounds perfectly credible
that's a great portrait, .. excellent lighting and framing, ..
great creation ..
