Petrogel: Nr 1 Photo is taken from Cape Palliser, New Zealand, looking south-southeast !!!!

The photo is taken with a wide lens, so i can not be sure, but, yes it can be southwest, ( and the Christchurch's light pollution between the two telephone poles Under the Lighthouse)

Smeggypants: "news" is fabricated and editred by entitie with a political agenda. The only reason this photographer has been sanctioned is because he got caught.

Anyone who thinks this instance is an honest news agency trying to weed out dishonest contributors is fooling themselves. The whole scene is corrupt.

There is no such a thing "honest news agency", only occasional attempts to clean up their name ( where they gonna need a scapegoat, which in this case is mr. Narciso Contreras)

Sdaniella: such a drastic alteration warrants submission of BOTH versions, leaving it to publishers to print the version that has most meaningful impact, but a 'mod' notation be included, where aesthetics take second priority to truth (if true original representation not printed/published)

The publisher's side of the "truth"

beholder3: So first you decide you let people vote in different categories since obviously you can't really compare a compact P&S to a DSLR or a lens or pasta sauce.
It started out as if someone actually used her brains.

And then once that is done, you throw it all together again?

Pasta sauce is my product of the year with hellfire missiles as runner up.The Olmypus I did not choose because they don't work either as diaphers or together with pasta.

Words of wisdom from someone who has a rat-face for profile icon !!!!

Why should they? When it's the sensor size together with the lens that makes the deference

P.S Please note that Leica X Vario is absent from the milc list?

Casualness? Nah!!!

These DSLRs are already dead, but they don't know it yet

You're absolutely right, small doesn't necessarily mean low but in this case …. it does.
EOS 100D is the "absolute" low end DSLR and quite "smaller" (on specs) compared to competition (which is not the 1000D but Nikon D3200, Pentax K30 or even Sony A3000) -NOT TO MENTION- DXOmark's sensor rating which scores lower compared to Canon's 6year old EOS40D

@Andy
Canon dslrs are selling well enough but when i wrote already dead meant by competition (and that is pentax nikon d3200, Sony Nex or Alpha series) only for EOS 100D which is the low (if not the lowest) end camera of the category.
And personally i don not believe EOS 100D is a good investment
