HawaiiVolcanoes: Gypsies....if you ever visited Romania or Italy ( a country they are trying to destroy)..maybe you wouldn't look so kindly on these "people"
Less accurate ?? Then don't refer to my "definitions" in the future.
By the way : "The hippie (or hippy) subculture was originally a youth movement that arose in the United States during the mid-1960s and spread to other countries around the world." (wikipedia).
Gypsies the sub-culture and sub-living of unlawfulness !!!!!Those people on the photos have nothing to do with gypsies are more neohippies than gypsies
Very nice photos !!!!
Great Photo Great place Συγχαρητήρια !!!!!
Do you need 41 megapixels? DXOMark says nah !!!!!
toomanycanons: And of course the next time this Pro is going out on a job wherein he HAS to get the shot, he'll again leave his Nikons at home and just take his phone.
Of course !!!! what did you expect? he is a pro after all .
Nokia opened the way, Apple follows. What's next? Fashion photography? Wedding photo shoot ? or maybe Helmut Newton ?
utomo99: samsung must put this immediately on the galaxy series gadget
If this will be the next removable camera-gadget for Samsung cell phones then 100.000.000 of these will sell like hotcakes
new boyz: Hmmm. Minor updates. It should be called D601.
D600 oil free
"An advertising campaign is a series of advertisement messages that share a single idea and theme which make up an integrated marketing communication (IMC). Advertising campaigns appear in different media across a specific time frame." -wikipedia-
After "convincing" Bruce Weber, David Bailey and sending "Stephen Alvarez into the American West", Nokia is taking a brake for a Fashion photo-shoot, what's next !!
vv50: it seems phones are the flavor-of-the-month bane of so-called gearhead purists. there was a time when all they complained about was camera manufacturers putting video features into their DSLRs. although they might be arguably justified in suggesting that this article belongs more appropriately under Connect; just because it involves the use of a studio, flashes and fashion models doesn't necessarily mean Nokia qualifies as regular news.
It seems either Nokia or Microsoft is paying a lot for it to happen (flavor of the month).
siberstorm27: This thing says nothing about camera quality. Just "having" one is good enough, based on this survey. A flip phone with a 0.3MP camera would suffice the second highest criteria. And it's pretty clear why phone brand is at the highest. Most people are not tech savvy so they rather just stick to a brand they are familiar with that can guarantee certain standards. It's when a subset of such people forget about their ignorance and try to push their brand, their own egos alongside it, upward, with false claims of expertise, that fanboys are born. I'm sure there's a condition in the DSM that connects fanboyism, nationalism, and narcissism, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the true merit of a product or product company.
vvWherever you read about DSM you feel the need to make a statement ?
JWest: It's interesting how much excitement the Pureview system generated on its announcement, based on the technology advances. Yet when you pit it against some decidedly traditional cellphone cameras, in terms of concrete results, the differences are minimal.
Admittedly the sensor size has been scaled back somewhat since the Pureview system was introduced with the 808. But it still goes to show how easy it is to get carried away about a new and exciting sounding technology, rather than judging it in terms of what it can actually do.
I totally agree, tho Samsung's S4 10x zoom is quite tempting.
KW Phua: Compare to other cheap PnS this IQ is best, but not perfect with yellow tined. Not as pocketable as PnS, not as fast as DSLR not as cheap as PnS. I know many people who buy expensive cameras and keep inside cabinet but use iPhone most of the time.
Psychology not psychiatry
One good thing is that, after 2 months of silence you come up commenting for victor ? Is this a complete sentence ?
Petrogel: ?? "If you doubled the number of megapixels on a camera’s sensor, you’d halve the amount of light that each pixel would have to measure, which means even more noise"
How come and the "more pixeled" (but the same pixel size) full frame cameras, outperform much better in low light conditions than those with APS-c sensors ??
I'm sure mr. Hawking had someone like you in mind when he said it.
Are you sure english is your first language ?
Stelios: I would by this camera tomorrow if it had an Articulating screen
Stelio Canon G1X has both articulating screen and APS-C sensor
