robbo d: So, if it was titled, Black n white study of Thailand's monkey's and temples.....would it be better received ???
It must be annoying for these sites to sift through the crumbs before photokina comes, after which everyone will be bombarding them with why the camera's aren't being reviewed fast enough........ cant win I guess, but yes there is some better work out there, just tech wise it puts the cat amongst the pigeons.
I know why he used a Nokia to shoot his holiday, it's a seriously good mobile phone cam and a very capable camera full stop. The ability to blow up large out of this sensor has had me fool a few friends who own DSLR's.

Somehow i posted as a reply to you, but my post was to be as a general comment... no way to edit...posted from my phone...

And i bet its was a decision about the best tool, its not marketing, just as that fashion 1020 photography months ago...lol....this has one name only: advertising...some like, others dont...

Amusing to see people complaining about low mp count, when most, if not all people dont print images larger than 13X19, if they print at all. 12 great megapixels are more than enough for A3+...unless you crop a lot...

carlos roncatti: of course great photos can be taken with ant camera or phone nowadays. i went out to shoot with a girl that used a matchbox as a camera...but no matter how much cell phone companies try to advertise, still, in the end the photo will be for the web or small prints...IQ and big prints are not what cell phones offer...

I believe The Print looks good, at arm lenght (to look at this size). But this size is not a big print...A3+ or more is big

Are there DCP files for fuji available anywhere? my photoshop elements 9 doesn't support the new fuji camera profiles...have dng profiles for newer cameras like NIkon Df but not for the X-E1 (available for latest photoshop versions)

carlos roncatti: why so few long end photos? i would like to see raw conversions of those...the appeal of the camera is the long zoom.

Altruisto, i realy dont see them as bad, at all. With this sensor size, what people do expect? with this lens? Perfectly usable for good lightning and prints up to 8x12 or maybe a little bigger...imo

HowaboutRAW ,
i hope so, but the samples from IR, the lens seems to have some serious decentering problem, the left side is very blurred...take a look there...

I agree (howaboutraw) about the very good lenses from samsung. And the reason i didnt mention 28mm is, of course, because the 9mm is already here...lets wait and see what they will come up with

HowaboutRAW,
lol...the one thing that samsung needs now is to make good prime lenses...35, 50 and so on to the system...but i guess the target is not photographers that would benefit from those lenses...its a camera for a different audience..imo.

for everyone complaining about the samsung comments, you should take a look at IRs first samples. They compare it to the V3 and RX100II, and the NXmini is better, at least the samples show it (at iso 800). And no, i never ever had a samsung camera in my life
