OK, maybe if copyrights don't keep getting extended to 1mill years after author's death, you wouldn't need this orphan works stuff. Then if you really need an image, then either 1) you can pay...

Adobe prices CC for full time pros, adds feature like "Camera Shake reduction" aimed clearly at amateurs. Oh the irony.
-
HowaboutRAW, your camera came with a RAW converter. And I really hope you're not using PS for RAW conversion anyway.
-
There's already plenty of free stuff out there, GIMP, etc, and even stuff that runs PS plugins.

Never dealt with Adobe customer support, but dealt with DXO customer support. Your experience doesn't sound too bad, at least you weren't told to shut up and go away.

Your camera comes with software that convers RAW to TIFF

YN560 are great, but the S2 mode doesn't work with D800. So you can't mix TTL and M flashes anymore

If I turned up on a forum with these kinds of photos, would I be hailed as a genius, or booed as a noob who is still using auto mode? Klein doing blurry misfocused images is acceptable not because...

Don't worry so much. Unless you regularly shoot underexposed crap, NR doesn't matter much at all.
-
Actually, no, you need DxO Optics Pro Elite version for ALL full frame cameras, even the low priced Nikon D600 and Canon 6D
-
All I can say is that improvements to volume anamorphosis from DxO Optics Pro v7 were obviously cut from v8 to make this new software. This explains how they could release v8 in under a year. Since...

8.1 already. 8.2 by year end, 8.5 in feb, and bam v9 mid next year. not a long wait.
-
Actually, it was natural. But from v7 they stuffed up the color management. What you see within DXO is no longer what you see in the output with your calibrated monitor profile.
-
I for one am waiting for the 1-shot-HDR promised with v6.0 In the meantime I've learnt to expose properly, since each version of DXO has been less forgiving in NR than the last. 'Smart' EV,...
