Hadn't seen this one posted yet, feel its pretty much my thoughts and feelings about it, although, I don't like the AF as much as the reviewer, but I think that is more user error than the camera's...

Thanks for the feedback on the first shot, it is in RAW, did you view it 1X1 in the viewer? I think part of the reason it is so bold is the resize where you can't pic up all the detail in the...

I would assume he meant wireless myself...

I like that better. The more I looked at them both, my suggestion is have her hold a reflector pointed back up towards her face to balance some of the shadows, that way you can keep working on the...

Finally got the RX1 in studio and plugged in to my alien bees. This image is part of a project I am working on called Nostalgia, where people bring items from there past/family for studio...

The areas around her eyes are very dark, and create fairly hard lines. I also don't like the shadow across the low half of her face. All the light seems to be directed down and I don't think it...

Sorry, have to say that the lighting and short focal length don't really flatter her features in this. I shoot 35mm portraits a lot myself, and they can be a tricky business. Its not like your...

the photo works, but that seems really noisy for ISO 125. Is that using some sort of DR boost?

Here is a quick peek at a studio portrait (just a straight RAW transfer, no corrections applied or editing), not one I am going to use, but the focus is solid in my opinion.

Good to know, I did some portraits with it last weekend, but they were more studio full body, I wasn't paying attention to the eyes all that much, I will have to go back through and see what is there.

Its not my usual fare for my normal, I mostly do portraits and landscapes. I am coming from a long line of systems, everything from Canon 5Dii and L lenses, to Pentax film and K-5, and I currently...

So, the weather finally cleared, and blossoms are in bloom in Indiana. I took the Sony Rx1 out for its first real stroll. Very pleased with this kit. The bokeh is very pleasing, the macro at...

never had the 31, just the 43, lol. And I did have the 60-250 which got me the most $ in trade. But next time, I will send them to you first in my capriciousness.

So, as many here have read in the past 12 months, I sold my Canon gear to go back to Pentax via a K-5 and assortment of lenses. This past weekend I sold me entire lineup (save my wife's K-01 and...

I recently sold my Pentax K5 kit to fund a purchase of the RX1. I currently have the RX1, the original Fuji X100, and the Fuji X-Pro1 and 35 and 60mm lens. The RX1 is a fine piece of engineering,...

Maybe, not sure yet, there is still some magic in the Fuji X100 at 35mm, but we shall see ;)

I bought the RX1 this weekend, to compliment a non dslr lineup that includes the original Fuji X100 (with wide angle adaptor) and Fuji X-Pro1 with 35mm and 60mm lens. So far, I like what I have...

I had the same problem, got a third party cordless travel charger, it rocks and I have gotten a similar charger for my xpro1, love not carrying the cords around.
