Yup, this is why I sold one of my Domke bags because on many travels, Rome to Peru, there were times I felt like I would be a target with those open side flap areas, and now I'm heading to Paris...

Keith, I'm still torn with this beautiful Billingham 225. Man Billinghams are sweet bags and perhaps the nicest bags I've ever owned, but I'm still considering something slimmer and light for this...

I just purchased a Billingham 225 for a trip and loaded it with my SB800, D800 w/24-120, OMD w/a few good primes and quickly realized that it can get kinda' heavy, so I was wondering how heavy your...

I probably can't add much to this horse race except to say that I own both and had found it difficult to love the OMD as much as I had my D800, but then I’ve been shooting Nikon for some 35+ years....

Dang Nikon, were is our video update?

Scot, that's actually a great use for a top loader. I have a top loader that I never use and was going to put on ebay but I may just stick it in a backpack now- thanks.
I recently purchased a Clik...

Well, you guys have been very helpful and offered some great advice - thanks, but I have to admit the wheels fell completely off the cart for me on this one. While searching for a messenger bag my...

Thanks, I never considered the Crumpler bags; I'll take a look.
I'm also looking at the Tenba Messenger, anyone use one of these? They make them in a number of other nice colors but I'm not all...

Thanks so much guys, I never considered the Domke J-803 because the inside dimensions say 3" and the D800 is almost 5", but I'm guessing with the flexibility of the bag it's not a problem?
Edit,...

I'm thinking about getting one of these messenger bags to travel overseas and was wondering if anyone uses anything like this? I don't need to carry a lot of gear, D800 w/24-120mm and perhaps a...

At first I thought there was something wrong with your camera on the first one. Excellent shot that really fools the eye for a second.

If it had and EVF I'd be on the preorder list as soon as it was available. With no EVF the Fujifilm X-E1 is still in my shopping cart.

I worked in retail for many years and it's my understanding that they are required to sell you one unit at the price listed or it's false advertisement. Now I'm no lawyer but we had to sell items...

I'm heading to Paris also and was getting ready to pack all my gear in a backpack until I read your post - thanks. Now I've decided to go with a more non-tourist looking shoulder bag even though...

Dang, the Nikon D660 has oil spots also! :-)
-
While I like my D800, I'm sorry I sold my D300. It was a great camera.
-
I have an OMD and a D800 and I'd take the Oly 45mm and the Nikon 85mm 1.8 since both are just outstanding lenses; you can't go wrong with either lens.
-
HHmmm, that sounds a bit kinky. :-)
-
It looks tacky to me. I just purchased the actual grip and now my OMD feels amazing.
I see Olympus had $50 off through April 20th. Forget the stick-on and get the real...

Yup, dropped a lens in Greece and tried to break the fall with the top of my foot, unfortunately I was a hair too late and kicked it across the concrete floor. I sure learned my lesson so now I...
