Tamron 70-300 VC
There is indeed. F8 also but I simply could deal with the softness past 250 or so despite trying several copies. Went Tamron 70-300 VC and never looked back.
It should auto focus fine. Good luck.
I find variation in these lenses. I tried one and it was very close and had very good IQ compared to my 18-55 vr kit lens but I also have a very good copy of that one.
Simple. Has enough range to cover most everything with being just portable enough.
Assuming you mean the VR version of the 70-300 that one would be my choice. I found it quite a bit better than the 55-300

Disagree on the 70-300 options. I've had both and find the Tamron better in all aspects.
Codec issue on PC
Have you tried using it?
For me..18-55 kit and then add Tamron 70-300 VC

+1 and I do own one!
