Correct. It has changed. The way I understand it, the D7100 will use focus priority (if set!) for the first shot. Once that first shot is taken, it will rattle on as if it was on release priority.

The SB-910 is:- wider (goes to 11mm for DX)
- longer (200mm)
- bigger
- more powerfull
- does not use gels but plastic color filters (or whatever they're called)
- more expensive
both are part of...

The CA and distortion will be corrected in-camera and the bokeh is to some extend a matter of taste. And the thing is sharp! It is also one of the cheapest lenses in Nikon's line up and the third...

And it is very telling that most posts in this thread actually mention non-Nikon lenses....

What "investment"?!? Investment implies that you use money to create more money. Unless you are a pro, this isn't an investment but a consumption purchase.
And further to that, are you familiar...

Your analogy is a bit wrong. You shouldn't compare consumer products to IT products. Instead compare the launching of cameras to to that of reitterating TVs or home cinema. You get new TVs every...

I bought his D5000 guide. It contained an error about focus/release priority. He'd just slavishly copied from the Nikon manual instead of trying it out himself and finding that it did not work the...

Hi
It does not apply to all sigma lenses, only to some. But it is nothing major. The bug impairs the ability to review pictures a bit. Also, Sigma seeem to have made changes to their lens firmware...

Unlikely. By now there have been tens of thousends of D7100 sold. Someone would have picked this up. I think you're not doing it right as I see my RAW files on card 1.
Try to see what is on the...

The difference between the D3/D700/D300 modules and the D7100 modules are:
- Better focus in low light (the quoted -2ev)
- Center point can use lenses with max aperture of F8 (hurrah for...

Nikon's brand image is not exactly on a high right now.

EVFs have their uses. They're WYSIWYG for example. How often have you taken a picture with the wrong White Balance setting and you can't use the JPEG? EVFs tell you that stuff before you hit the...

The biggest two upgrades are:
- Center point can focus even at f8 (was f5.6)
- Focus system can now focus up to -2ev (don't know the previous value).

Not to mention that both version of the 70-200 will focus faster than any of the superzooms. Focus speed is not only the outcome of the focus system. It also depends on the amount of glass to be...

Why sell the D700? It is a good camera. With regards to the other two: yep, I understand why you want to sell them.
Your D800 will weigh as much as your D700 does. If that is the reason you sell...

The Sigma 17-50 OS HSM is better than the Tamron. See Lenstip for a comparison between the Sigma and other 17-50 lenses. The current Tamron has received VC and that did not do the lens any favours....

The Sigma 18-35 f1.8 is not yet available in Nikon mount. But I would look at the Sigma 17-50 OS HSM. It is cheaper and lighter than the Nikon 17-55 and just as good, if not better. Steer clear of...

The fact that as a Nikon customer you use those words kind of says it all, doesn't it?

A third party might come in and steel those users. If they're going to have to replace their lenses, they may as well move elsewhere completely. If the focus tracking and EVF hold up well for the...
