Dale Forrest Photography: OK, I have to chime in here. I have been shooting for over 50 years and have used almost every brand of camera throughout that time. Ironically, the pentax spotmatic (black body) with a 50mm 1.2 lens (yes, 1.2 not 1:2) was my first camera as a kid. I was 14 years old then. Since that time I have used Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Sony, Hasselblad, Sinar, and many others. My interest in the K3 is due to the fact that they came up with a work horse camera that will allow me to use my technical experience and capture the images that I choose. I gave up on Sony because of the electronic viewfinder that they use when they gave up the optical glass. When I shoot wildlife, sometimes it is before daybreak and if my eye is plastered against an electronic viewfinder, when I try to locate the subject again I am blinded by the viewfinder. (give me glass anytime). Pentax is onto something here and I am taking delivery of my new K3 tomorrow. I can't wait to get out with it this weekend.
You will enjoy this camera, been shooting with it for 4 days now using sigma 1.4hsm. The viewfinder is beautiful and the camera is the fastest Pentax has made hands down. Auto focus keeps up with the lenses as well!
