Justin Maxton: If you had to choose between a p&s like this or the nikon coolpix s9100 (both with full hd) and a dedicated pocket camcorder like the Kodak Playtouch, when your main concern is video, which would you choose?
So Justin which are you going with?
By the way, the more detailed and specific your question is, the better and more detailed the response/recommendation would be. I owned DSLR, PnS, and dedicated Kodak handheld vidCam, and all are the best for video. why? for indoor birthday party, my DSLR on a tripod give best 1080p HD by far. for candid shots of kids playing and people interacting at the same party, a PnS is best because a video recroded at slightly less IQ is better than a perfect HD video missed due to the size of a DSLR. Lastly, at the same party, the BEST video came from my 6 yr old taking video with the Kodak vidcam of people's conversation from 3 feet vintage point. so there, that's just one possible answer to which is the best for video at a single indoor party... then there's the picnic, the beach, the wedding, the whateverz... So please don't be disappointed with reply (or lack of) when u question simply: DSLR, PnS, simpleton Kodad VidCam -- which is the best for video.
Same sensor as a $299 Nikon D300, yet same price as a Canon T3i... Excellent niche camera... totally wrong pricing.
