I stopped renting years ago. I'm not about to begin.
-
No, I won't rent software. It's still a bad idea. You can never know what the future holds. Stand firm. Let them fold completely.

Where have they been slashed in price?
-
The raw would be easier to work with.

I actually paid for a license but my old application drive died and I wanted another copy of it. I shoot with older cameras so it shouldn't matter. I think they were working on v2 when I bought it. :)

Where can I get RawMagick?
-
I guess I wasn't clear.
You can output an unadjusted raw as a jpg. Use Sony's Image Data Converter for this. Then post the jpg and the raw, both unadjusted.
Let others try to adjust the jpg and raw...

Post the jpg and the raw and let others see if they can match the recovery you were able to get from the raw.
If anyone attempts it, they need to post the steps they took so others can replicate it...

I sometimes do something similar. I correct in LR in color. Convert to B&W w/HSL, adjusting to liking. Tone all of the picture or just a portion of the picture with the gradient tool. Then split...

There are several actions to accomplish this. I found a lot of free ones years ago. Try atncentral.com.
However, I really like creating them in lightroom. I like being able to adjust them by color...

You ask, "What am I loosing (sic) working this way?"
How often do you process tifs with ps or lr? If it is often, then I'd say you are losing time. If it's only occasionally, then probably...

I find that Microsoft ICE is sometimes able to stitch things that ps can't. And, it takes about one tenth of the time.
I always start with ICE first, then move to ps if ICE doesn't get it right,...

An "adobe evangelist" is what they are called. I thought the same, too.
I'm at CS5, extended. I won't upgrade to cs6 or cc. There's nothing there, there. And to be trapped into renting? That's dopey.

Okay, I'll answer your question.
No.
-
Interesting. How about posting raw so others can see if they can replicate your output?

My usual adjustments (and favorites to use) are the S&H, H-K, any color, and the Sharpen 2013. Sharpen is quite amazing. You can save the layers and make adjustments to them. The color panel is...

Yes, and if you have photoshop (I think you need at least CS4), the PPW panel does some very powerful things. Automatically. Quickly. And, it's free.
From the second link,
"At the moment, the...
