Not photoshopped, not Husky mix either. He is a border Collie that has Heterochromia Iridis.
RaptorUK: Interesting how nobody thinks the 12 x 4 star votes, sticking out like a sore thumb, seem suspicious . . .
I will say this to you Mr Raptor. I entered this competition in good faith, and did not even give a second thought about asking ANYONE to vote on my image, not even my partner! I entered this photograph and that was that, never mentioned it to anyone until I recieved an e-mail informing me of my 5th placed entry.
Maybe the 12-4 star voters actually thought my image deserved 4 stars but you obviously don't and that is fine, but please do not insult me by telling me it is suspicious.
Thank you everyone for your comments on my image.I was very pleased to recieve dpreview's e-mail this morning informing me that my "Lone tree, sunset" image had come 5th in the Tamron nature and travel challenge out of 3000+ entries. There were so many amazing photographs submitted, I did not think mine would have got placed so high.Thank you to all who voted.
After reading all comments on the 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th placed images, I think it is unfortunate and very sad that this (first) prize competition was spoiled by a few people who cannot play fair and have to resort to creating multiple accounts or asking half their country to join dpreview and vote on their image to win a lens. Also sad that some other truly amazing images in this challenge are not placed properly.
