The OP stated;
"I am new to Sony and haven't purchased yet still waiting to see what transforms this Autumn with Sony & Olympus.
So...I stand corrected."
Those of us that are long time A mount...

Here is a shot of the face of El Capitan in Yosemite, hand held with the 70-400 G1 on the A900, and they were a little over 2/3 of the way up the face.
Rest assured the 'silver' is a good lens.

A tap to the AF Range button made them appear.Dave

My A99V, version 1.01 set in AF-D and using CZ 24-70, CZ 16-35, and 70-200, do not show any assist point when being used; please tell me what error I am making?Dave

:-) By exercising a good deal of foresight, I live within driving distance of an old fashioned camera store, that is fully staffed by photographers who are very knowledgeable. They even have a...

:-D The proverbial bullet has been bitten, and I just finished updating my gps data on my new A99.The evil firmware update did me in, as it includes ALL of my lens collection (gear list). Anxious...

:-D ! 16-35 CZ will take care of all you wide needs, and 24-70 CZ means you are out of the lens buying business

I went to the 900 after a few years of using the 700, And have never looked back. Its like getting all new lens collection, and that viewfinder MUST be seen to believed. After a year or so, I...

To refine the origional post, I never suggested that the 99 could not shoot a fast action shot. My issue is getting a series of consecutive shots with fast action becomes problematic due to the...

Nord, I respect your opinion very much, but when I tried the 77 in the store, and later, the delay and smearing when I was panning made me give up on the idea. Was I wrong? Many 'Pro' reviewers...

When the action is fast and unexpected and you have to keep moving with it, the OVF on the 900 has served me very well. I hope they make another camera that can do it as well. Cheers, Dave

:-D That sir is some very nice lemonade! Occasionally the weather gives us a lemon of a day, but nice work with yours! Do you use that Sigma since you seem to have the 70-200 and the 70-400 as I...

:-DThis is just one of a series that can run to 5 or more 'air' shots, and using the A77 or A99 is not working to get these for me; panning high speed objects is my only complaint, and if I could...

Yes, I have an A77 at my disposal, and I have used an A99 in the store, but the high speed panning I require is just no doable with those, and thats sad, because I would get one in a heartbeat. ...
