So what we have here is: (human lag)+EVF lag+shutter lag.

    For ex. :
Fuji X-T1 EFV lag: 0.005 sec. (which is claimed as the fastest EVF in the world from Fuji)
    Olympus E-M1 EFV lag: 0.029...

  • Sorry for answering you so late, I don't log in here quite often. DNG files embed metadata in only one single file, the actual raw one. So all the times you work on it modifying some parameters...

  • DNG? forget it! If you use DNG all the times you save your history all the file is re-written and you move tens of megabytes. With a proprietary raw file you move just less than 1 kilobyte. My...

  • I'm not sure sidecar files with metadata are allowed along side raw ones. and as Lightroom user I have plenty of XMP files.

  • Not true. It's working on .it domain.

  • You can still upload from a NAS (both Synology and QNAP can) so that you don't need anymore to backup multiple boxes. NAS will do that for you. NAS is your 1st level backup, CrashPlan 2nd level.

  • what about sidecar files (.xml) ? they are quite important in my archive and I'd like to upload them along with the raw images.
