Leica V-Lux 20
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30
A great pocket and travel camera. Image quality is amazing for this small 6 year Old camera (purchased new Jan 2008) - I like Lumix cameras!
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H5
Nikon D700
Olympus OM-D E-M5
Amazing camera. Still use this after more than 7 years (purchased new April 2007). Great colour rendition, brilliant image stabilisation and amazingly easy to use and produce great results.
After more than 3 years (purchased new March 2011) still trying to master this brilliant technology. Produces fantastic images with basic settings and absolutely amazing images with the right menu setting for the scene!
Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX7
Nikon AF Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D IF ED
Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D
I love wide angle lenses. This is usually on my D700 and used for the usual landscape and architectural photography. Remarkably good for the price. Such aberrations as appear are actually (for me) pleasing to the eye!
Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF VR
Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G VR
Purchased new Late 2004 for my F5, it is a good match for the D700 when I need something covering wide to moderate telephoto. Consistently produces excellent results, I have never been disappointed by its performance.
Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 45mm 1:1.8
Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-50mm 1:3.5-6.3 EZ
Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 15mm F1.7 ASPH
A recent purchase (July 2014) with the Lumix GX7. A brilliant lens complementing a fantastic camera. Brilliant colours, pin sharp.
Panasonic Lumix G Vario 45-200mm F4-5.6 OIS
Apple iPhone 3G
Apple iPad 2 WiFi
Makes a great iPod!
Useful as a "Photo Album" and for email. Screen is excellent.
Other gear:
  • ACDSee Pro 7 Not as good as earlier versions.
  • Epson V700 Scanner Brilliant and remarkably quick
  • F3HP + MD-4 A favourite classic. Still working and used. Elegant design and simplicity of use define a classic Film camera.
  • Hamrick VueScan 9 x64 Best Film and Photo Scan software. Brilliant results from my Nikon Coolscan V and Epson V700
  • Micro Nikkor 55mm F/2.8 Everything you have read about the Micro Nikkor 55mm F/2.8 being a quality lens producing pin sharp close-ups and brilliant colour rendition - IS TRUE! As with my other AIS lenses it is has been well used and well cared for and still used today. Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten!
  • Nikkor AI-S 135mm f2.8 Bought this new in 1984 and have taken many photos with this and now use it on my D700. Do not recall taking a bad photo. A truly brilliant moderate telephoto. After 30 years use it works perfectly and smoothly.
  • Nikkor AI-S 24mm f2.8 Love this lens. Bought this new in 1983 with my Nikon F3HP +MD4. I have taken thousands of photos with this and now use it on my D700. Do not recall taking a bad photo - that I could blame on the lens - with it. After more than 30 years use it works perfectly and smoothly.
  • Nikkor AI-S 35mm f2.0
  • Nikon Coolscan V ED LS-50 Amazingly good. Had this for years and not happy with results using Nikon Software. Vuescan transforms this device to an effective scanner producing amazing results.
  • Nikon F3/T
  • Nikon F5 Brilliant camera - easy to use. Heavy! A classic bridging between film and digital with AF and VR lenses of the era still working today on my D700. Brilliant photos from this camera, and enjoyment using it from when I bought it new in March 1987 until the present time. I still put a roll of film through this at least once a year.
  • Reflex Nikkor 500mm f8.0
