TheScarredCoyote: Nice photo but the rules are not respected. It's a composite photo because it's impossible to observe the full moon during the day.

@ PERCY2

You can also do some research :) Please read the website cited by cjf2 :

(quote) "The moon is visible in daylight nearly every day, the exceptions being … close to full moon when it is ONLY visible at night."

(continuation)

At 16h30, the sun is 1° above the horizon and can't shine the mountains because of the mountain peaks behind you.

The moon seems to be about 5° above your level. I don't understand how you can see the (almost) full moon and the sun still shine behind you.

Let us know your coordinates GPS location and the time of capture and it will be easy to verify :)

@ cjf2
With all due respect, i don't understand how this can be possible.

We see on your photo that the sun still shines the mountains. The shadow shows us that you have mountain peaks behind you.

We see also the full moon (95% illumination) above the mountain tops and Halfdome is high.

At 15h30, the sun is 10° above the horizon and can shine the mountains. The moon is 3° below the horizon and of course not visible.

At 16h00, the sun is 6° above the horizon and i'm not shure that it still can shines the mountains and the clouds in front of you. In the mountainous region where i live (Savoie), the sun 6° above the horizon is not visible.
At that time, the moon is 2,6° above the horizon and can't be visible above the half dome.

Ces pierres jaunes et ce volet qui fut bleu ciel, me rappellent le Beaujolais. Je me trompe ?

Bravo pour cette 2e place méritée.

Merci KodaChrome25.

This is an old empty "EAU SAUVAGE EXTRÊME" bottle of a friend, staged amidst pebbles.
