I wish sometimes a happy press photo would win!
I've collected photography for over 20 years...Bechers, Gursky, Weston, Evans, Sugimoto, Adams, Bresson, Rodchenko etc. (so a wide range encompassing a swathe of art history), but fail to see how this man's work will stand the test of time....attractive though some of it may be.
Has anyone found any discount codes please for new purchasers? Thanks.
Superlative and riveting photographs!
On another note, is there one spot in DPR or any other site where one can quickly scan through all the open competitions available to enter at any time please?
Stitzer23: what's the objective of pp?a. to make the pic the same as real lifeb. to make the pic more interesting than actualc. to better express how the photographer felt at the timed. to make pics look like they're taken on a moon of saturn
i like a.
Interesting....I like everything but a.
Could you please let us know if an ND filter was used for the individual images to get such long exposures although I do understand it was a cloudy afternoon. Thank you.
Fredy Ross: big question. will it be silent?
I was also looking to see if this was complimented by the development of a leaf shutter lens/system so it would be a bit quieter than its predecessors.
Staxxx: The new zoom lens with this camera sounds like a good compliment for my RX1. Looks like I'm Sony all the way now....
Haha! No a genuine mistake but a salient point made by Nils....

Great...I have been waiting for this. Otherwise the only option was to buy one of the older models which were selling for huge premiums - F1, FH20, FH25 and the FH100 I believe.
Would you kindly elucidate the technique used to take a picture such as this one please, for the newbies. Thank you.
I think they have an apology message up:
To all of it, we apologize.
Because we don’t see what you see
Can anyone tell me how to download it on a second computer (which is allowed according to the licence). I am not sure where to enter the key without going through the entire process again - not that it takes very long.
weisman: Kind of Sally Mann-ish. I like them.
yes ....first instinct was Sally Mann-ish. But these have a special innocence I like. Sally's portraits seem a little more "mannered" in my opinion, of course. However, I like those too...but they do point in another direction I feel.
I envy how some people just see so much and can capture it in a simple shot...... wow! Love these.
gotta ask......would you upgrade your EM-5 for this?
Do add taxes to the American prices. The European prices are often quoted including VAT. But this discrepancy always gets brought up with each new model - and never gets solved. The American market is much larger and pricing can be more aggressive, I suppose. The other option is to buy European and stick it for once back to the ...ok ok just kidding !! :)
Just wondering, as I bought CS6, does Adobe's new policy mean I will not be able to upgrade it with any advancements in the new version? Or will upgrades be offered as well as the full version on CC?
I deliberated hard and spent the money to buy CS6 last year. It was a one-off purchase. The idea of putting aside a considerable sum (given the strength of the US $ and the fact that I am an amateur photographer) each month is very difficult. I am sure they will lose a considerable amount of sales in international markets.
Additionally in some places of the world, internet access is just not that good and plans are severely restricted in terms of uploads/downloads.
Why don't they just offer both solutions so people have a choice?!
World Peace: How much is this upgrade?
Could someone tell me, if I have CS5 Extended can I upgrade only the Photoshop to the CS6 version thus paying GBP 125 instead of GBP 252. I do not need the upgraded version of the rest of the suite. Thanks.
