As others have mentioned, these are really quite good for the conditions—less-than-full sun, back-lit, very light background compared to subject. Nice work!
Just wondering about the odd, pinkish...

"Retro," ha! Get serious! Sony-Daguerre is the way to go.
I want my next NEX to look like one of these.

That's a good thing to do—spend time away from the work and come back to it. I almost always see my own stuff differently with each iteration of viewing. I do it with my writing, too. Try to lay...

The whole idea of putting work up for critique is to get honest, potentially helpful reaction from others. One can be respectful and critical and respectful at the same time.
When an artist...

Nice concept! Predominant dark tones set the mood.
I wonder if just a bit more detail is available in the hat. Also wonder about cropping the right side in a bit to a square(ish) format. A square...

Nice understanding of the dynamics of complementary colors!

What brand of filter would you recommend for this use of the lens?

If there's no new NEX-7, what will i complain bitterly about? What missing features will i bemoan? Which unmade improvements will send me into a tizzy? Which new kit lens will not meet my inflated...

#4 is good, but the highlight spots on the left edge of the frame are distracting. Hold your hand over the left edge to crop them out to see how much they lead your eye away from the subject.

Man, you guys are all amateur pre-release anxiety-mongers. I tell ya, the NEX-15Z is the one to wait for. (I heard a rumor.)
All these others … meh.

More First World angst. Maybe there's a therapy program somewhere.

Thanks for the explanation! One more question, if i may… "Focusing wheel"? Not being familiar with this lens (and not that i'm about to run out and get one), is the focusing wheel the black circle...

A darn sight better than "not bad"! These are great!
As someone else asked, how do you initially even find the subject in the viewfinder? I see where you've staked out those branches and waited for...

Those were impressive images, thanks for sharing. Apparently, the air is a bit more clear in your corner of the world.
My understanding is that the digital imaging process doesn't suffer from...

If people are nice enough to post their images, one should go demanding they do it in some particular way. How hard is it to click on a link?

Yes, the European-flavored variety, i believe.

Clouds are almost always a good subject, and you've rendered the ones here very well.
Even with the later adjustments, though, i find the bottom, cloudless part of the image problematic. Those...
