You've written a lot about the A6000, but not whether it's possible to sync it to a studio strobe. Is it possible?

nanomatrix: Anybody know what lens DPR used on the A6000 to take the Studio Scene comparisons shots?

Good question. I'd like to know that as well, inasmuch as it seemed to outshoot the Canon 5D3

How on earth does one sync the strobes in one's studio with the A6000? I've tried everything. What am I missing, or is this even possible?

Paul Farace: This is the Erminox of the 21st century! Someday tyros will handle one in a camera show and wonder how a few folks could spend that kind of money for a bauble.

The Ermanox changed the history of photography.

Is there a way to sync a GX1 to studio strobe? It has a hot shoe, but Panasonic doesn't make a strobe connector for it!! At least that's what Panasonic told me.

I like the looks of the GX better. As long as the sensor is the same, why the new design? I don't like roundish humps on the top plate of any camera.

Does anyone know when the X version of the lens is due to be released?

One would have expected the prices for larger sensors to have come down somewhat by now. Goodness knows there are enough of them being manufactured. That said, I still want to get my hands on this beautifully designed camera. Back in the analog days, it seemed all my my most important images were made with a Leica and a 35mm lens.

danstern: all- as i am in the market- I rented an OMD last weekend and have a xpro coming this weekend to compare the IQ. Whats your guess on availability and your opinion on placing an order based on a preview? I am a little nervous of Fuji's past QC issues.... Thanks!

I would think that Graphic Converter could handle theXPro files. As far as I know, GC an handle ANYTHING.

Should have known, when I saw the price, that the sensor would be tiny. Hard to believe that glowing press release, but hope springs, etc.

It would have been a lot better if the focal length of the lenses offered by Fuji had been ACTUALLY 18, 35, and 60mm. 27, 53, and 91 changes the game somewhat. What were they thinking? It almost sounds as if that were trying to pull a fast one.

On Fujifilm announces X10 high-end enthusiast compact article (279 comments in total)

"The X10 features a large 2/3" 12 megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor..." says the review, above. But SeagullTLT (below) says it's a small sensor. I wish they would spell out the sensor size in mm, and not inch fractions and alphabets.

Sensor size should, in every single case from now on, be written as a size in mm--and not in an arcane, alphabet soup or inch fraction format. The chart shown in this thread is a big help, thanks; but sensor size should be written in a standard format, ie its actual size. Why isn't it?

When oh when will they start listing sensor size in mm (xmm), and not the arcane, outmoded 1/1.7" appelation?
