Hmm... makes me wonder how they would perceive bokeh when seeing it in an image. An unreal experience? Surreal? Broken/eye-watering? Or just: "Not food - must keep flying!"

surprised no one is missing darktable here...

Does anyone have experience with 10bar's housing for the GX1? I now feel ready to start shooting under water. Also, do any of you shoot while freediving as opposed to scuba?

I can highly recommend darktable
http://darktable.org
it is not basic, but its approach is one that allows the user to learn about what the software does. You can use it to do just simple things...

Placed 28th in the challenge. When these orchids had broken off in our garden, I had a chance to play home studio and experiment with a few shots. The green surfaces in our kitchen instantly wanted to be the background for this.
That was just a few days _before_ I read of the "Chromatic Contras" challenge. Funny how things work out.

Placed 24th in the challenge. These wonderful things grow just a few hundred metres down the street. It's great, living in Thailand.

Placed 81st in the challenge. The Eco Café in Phuket is in the Sino-Portuguese part of old Phuket town and has a thing for bicycles. The house front across the street and the bicycle resemble nicely a part of the town's history.

Placed 56th in the challenge. The lotus pond on our porch is home to many fish and for a few days to this beautiful Flower.
A rainshower added a bit of glam.

Placed 47th in the challenge. Of course Daisy is pretty!

Placed 34th in the challenge. Sarah, being a Sirene Mermaid, shows us what Really Bad Weather looks like at the AIDA Freediving World Championships 2010 in Okinawa.

Placed 4th in the challenge. This shot was taken through a convex street mirror that overlooks a tight corner. Worked surprisingly well, I find. :-)

Submitted a challenge entry Daisy

Thank you, guys.I do agree that the Nikonos is cooler, but I'll still want something slightly more recent for my missions.Wouldn't want to compete with Mr. Bond, now would I?

Do you have the nauticam housing for the GX1 by any chance? I have a GX1 and am will want to take it under water in the future. Currently I'm busy understanding how to take pictures at all, but...

Years ago, I took a picture of a fellow freediver who shoots with this camera. Now, that I have developed an interest in photography, I am also interested in this camera.Any ideas what it is?
