There are a lot of answers which I will not read but with the GF I would suggest that unless you have an added viewfinder you should stick with what you have unless you always shoot with a tripod...

I would say the camera is fine except for its owner expecting mental connection between it and him :)

Thankyou for info and tip :)

The first is soft and the second harsh and sharp and not what a portrait should be. The first is good however you achieved it.

I protect my lenses with a lenshood and attention to my surroundings and sensible watchfulness.
I do not go near welders or dusty locations where I would consider a quality filter.

I cannot find a listing for this item .. does it come with the lens as most panasonic items do or is it and extra to be bought?
-
Probably people are not bothered about internal zoom though I see them as preferable if you are going to add anything heavy to the lens...Why I like my FZ50 and declined to upgrade to subsequent...

What aperture is the 14-150 listed above. The 75-300 is not impressive IMO

It is a mistake to think that you need a 14mm lens to shoot stitched landscapes. It is better to take a few more frames with a longer lens ...I used to stitch with a 35mm and even that was at the...

NO I am not confusing them ... Panasonic make a Lumix 14-150 for 4/3 and Oly make the same range for M4/3 but of course it doesn't have OIS. If you want OIS you have to go with the Lumix 14-140.
-
Just checked and I see Oly have the 14-150 which wouldn't be much use to me with my Panasonic camera becuase I think OIS is worth having, or IBIS. I like working with my Lumix 14-140 and thought...

I thought the 14-150 was for 4/3 cameras and not the M4/3?
-
If the refresh rate is not fast enough for you and frankly I think that is ballony there is always the technique of framing with one eye and timing the shot with the other eye looking around the...
-
I would expect it depends on what sort of sports photo you are after, photographers were shooting sports with much less sophisticated cameras than the M4/3 offers you but the way they shot was...
-
It would be nice if Lumix came out with a constant f/2.8 x24 lens for M4/3 like they have for the FZ200
-
Propbably to compensate for the slow kit lenses or the Lumix 14-140 if you are not bothered or dont want to outlay on fast primes ....I always shot with 125 ASA ISO film [ almost] and 100 ISO with...
-
Well there is the 14-140 Lumix if you want the convienience of a zoom.
-
The other very worthwhile accessory I made for a video camera was to organise an arm to control the zoom ... in my case a short length of brass rod attached to a hose clip around the lens's zoom...

To me using a monopod with a movie camera is a NO NO becuase the near impossibility of keeping the horizon level when you pan. I learnt that early on in my movie experience.
I have found that a...

Probably at the current state of the art it is not a realistic proposition?
