Two 5 votes ??!! Something smells fishy to me!

  • Commented on What letter? in the A To Z - Letter Z challenge

A nicely executed picture of a Gate (which begins with G), that just happens to have a Z shape within its construction, so it doesn't actually fit the challenge, which was for objects, items...

Am I missing something? How can you tell which & how many challenge participants subsequently voted ?

  • Commented on Xuan Huong Lake in the A To Z - Letter X challenge

Congratulations on your win - and also for being in the minority who met the challenge requirements!

  • Commented on X marks the spot... in the A To Z - Letter X challenge

An interesting photograph, nicely executed, but NOT complying with Challenge requirements. This is a picture of an 'X' shape, not an object beginning with the letter X. Sadly, the majority of...

  • Commented on A To Z - Letter X challenge

Am I the only person disappointed by the high number of entries to this challenge that do not actually comply with the Challenge description?

The entry should be of a subject/object/place that...

  • Thank you for your comment. I always had vinyl in mind for the 'V' challenge, & when I remembered this special edition I bought a couple of years ago, it all fell into place.

  • Submitted a challenge entry Q is for .....Quarrying Crane
This old crane is on the Isle of Portland, famous for its Portland Stone. The blocks of stone were loaded onto ships using these very basic cranes - a discarded block can be seen to the left of the crane. Nowadays, most of the remaining cranes are simply rusting away, with some occasionally used to lower small boats into the water. As can be seen, the outcrop on which it stands is now ideal for fishing and sun bathing !
