Gonna be a great pairing with my 6D! Nearly identical controls and all.

Great list. I'm looking at the GX1 + 20 1.7 to replace my compact, which I'm just not too happy with.

And why is this article on Connect?

Everybody who complains about viewfinders on compacts just wet their pants.

Plastek: Brilliant camera. Puts the point of mirrorless existence in doubt now. Especially when it comes out that APS-C compact with excellent lens is smaller than m4/3 or 1" mirrorless with a lens.

are you kidding? i would take a panny GX1 + 20 1.7, get faster aperture, more lens options, and save $100 to boot!

You get a 28 1.8, 35 1.8, and 50 1.8 all in one lens? BEAST.

Timmbits: Looks like a Sony-NEX but sounds like a Nikon-A.

It would have liked to see a manufacturer offer something different from what is already out there, namely the ~30mm viscinity of the Fuji X100s and nikon-A, like a f/1.4 50mm equivalent.

A 50 1.4 equivalent would hit the spot.

Nice looking camera. For the same price I'd probably go for the Canon G1X with swivel screen and more versatile lens.

Lars, I don't think we're going to question your decision to rotate an image right side up.

confusing! sure takes a long time to click through all the entries. could have been designed better. why have categories if the entries are all in one pool?

Digitall: It seems to me Samsung has now placed the rope around the Apple neck.

Samsung might be good on features but I question their reliability. After 4 years with iPhones, I made the switch to Samsung only to be plagued with bugs, malfunctions, reboots, etc.

Not terribly impressed with either of these photos.

didn't they just release the S3? do we need another flagship already?

God forbid any other brand gets a mention here when they release a new trigger. With more features and lower cost, no less...

Nice features. Same old clunky body and ergonomics. No thanks.

In reply to:

2eyesee: A 1/2.3" sensor and dpreview call this an 'enthusiast' compact? I'm sure any 'enthusiast' would be willing to sacrifice some range for a bigger sensor.

I can't take a camera with anything less than a 1/1.7" sensor seriously these days.

I'm all for larger sensors too, but really? The rest of the feature set is there. Did you note that aperture/zoom range? I'll take f2.7 at the long end over the f5.9 of my S100 any day...

The real enthusiasts make great pictures instead of whining about specs.
