CANagy: Would it be possible to post a side-by-side comparison review of the Panasonic FZ150 camera and the Nikon P7100 camera? In theory, they are designed for somewhat different users, but I think they are direct competitors. I am considering getting one of them and would like to read a head-to-head comparison.
I don't think they are direct competitors. Lumix: sensor 1/2.3, 12 megapixels. Nikon: sensor 1/1.7, 10 megapixels. More image quality for Nikon. Zoom: Lumix 24x, Nikon 7x. Speed: Lumix considerably quick, Nikon, very slow. I own a Lumix FZ38, and a Nikon P7000. They are completely different. The Nikon is adequate as a "studio camera", but nothing else. I take my Lumix with me for holidays, trips, etc. I never take the Nikon. But if I want to take artistic photos playing with lights, trying different combinations in a complete still composition, the Nikon is the one!
