@shigzeo

Why not buy a new iPhone 5S and update to the latest and current iOS ?

If you do not care about the 4 year old display, then you shouldn't care about a similar crap front face camera and the phone being a bit slower than the iPhone 6. You'll be saving a lot of money.

But no, you'll do what Apple wants you to do...take your wallet out and show them your cash for technogy and specs that is behind its competitors.

Perfect example of why Apple is Apple today. Their marketing/advertising is like no other.

Enjoy the brand new and innovative SE 😂😂😂

I don't care what anyone says....Apple releasing an iPhone with the SAME body as an almost 4 year old iPhone 5 is completely pathetic.

They are completely taking things for granted now. Same body, same crappy front facing camera, same old and out-dated display.

You must be a dwarf if you think that the iPhone 5 was a big phone. Do you see any other major manufacturers putting out actual NEW popular phones with screens that big? No because they don't live in the past.

The reason the iPhone 5 sold well and the 5C sold well was never because of size...it was because at the time the iPhone 5 was all there was and the 5C was cheap and affordable. End of story.

Is the SE affordable? Yes...but could they have possibly been any more lazy with the design? The least they could have done is make it look similar to the new generation iPhones.

And yes I believe the major population of iPhone users buy the phones solely because it has an Apple logo on it.
But when you compare many things like processing power, display quality, cameras etc. it is not even close.....and all of this is completely on Apple. They are the ones that choose to have the same display quality of an iPhone 6S like the iPhone 5. They are the ones that chose to maintain 8MP on the 6/6 Plus while the Samsung Galaxy S6 was rated best smartphone camera of the year by Dpreview.

They are starting to shoot themselves on the foot and the numbers clearly show as iPhone sales have tremendously decreased this quarter.

nwcs: If they do an iPhone 7 SE this fall I'll definitely get it. I've had a 6 for 1.5 years now and still prefer the smaller size.

The iPhone 7 SE might be the body and display of an iPhone 4 with the guts of an iPhone 7.

@ Random Photographer because that is what Apple does. They do gimmicky stuff like that to take your money. EVERYONE knows a 16gb iPhone 6s/iPhone 6S Plus is worthless and will fill up with the iOS, few apps, handful of pictures and HD video...so they release a 16gb on purpose to make you lash out an extra $100 for the 64gb. It's called brilliant marketing, but in my eyes it is deceiving their customers and their wallets.

The insides of all phones change on a yearly basis whether Android or iPhone. The least Apple could have done was change the body design and not make it identical to a 3 year old iPhone 5. That is pathetic and insulting to its customers.

Bangers and Mash: Perfect. That 6s+ is like carrying around a tablet. I have the older iPhone 5 and it has served me well. I like it size much better than the latest behemoth monsters Apple has come out with lately. I might just upgrade now.

Did you know that an iPhone 6S exists?

Photog74: A smart move. A 4" phone is big, but not unwieldy. My wife's iPhone 5 is the perfect size and the SE is the same.

A 4" phone is big?....yea in the year 2010.

I feel like a need a telescope to look into my sister's iPhone 5 screen today.

Osa25: As usual, Apple always have some stingy moves in there. 4" size ok fine, but the screen resolution is looooooong in the tooth and lags behind many lower-mid range Android and Windows Phone cameras.

No, they will call it the "new Retina display" and people will believe it's better.

darngooddesign: This will actually answer the question on what size iPhones people like.

This will not answer any questions. This is brilliant marketing by Apple as always and it will convince people to buy a "new phone" with the same body, front face camera and display as the 3 year old iPhone 5...and what is sad is how many people will go and buy it just because it has an Apple logo on the back of it.

Sam Santana: I'm willing to bet they'll make the most out of 'the most powerful 4 inch smartphone ever made' as if that actually meant something...nobody makes 4 inch phones anymore so it wouldn't be hard to make 'the most powerful ever made' would it?

Oh that brilliant Apple marketing huh? I just sit back and laugh sometimes...and what's funnier is how people will flock to the stores to buy this crap.

My mind cannot comprehend how people would downgrade from an average sized iPhone 6 to the SE (aka iPhone 5S with iOS9.3 and 6S camera).

Another example of how Apple fools its customers into buying something "new".

To continue...the iPhone 7 is rumored to support wireless charging and be water/dust resistant! Wow!!! Such innovation!

Who knows, it might also have a "brand new Retina display" and then the official specs will read "1920x1080, 401ppi"

@Random Photographer Couldn't have agreed more. This is the reason why I switched from Apple to Samsung. I got the new S7 Edge and from exterior design to interior specs it is not even close.

Apple is Apple because they market like NO ONE else. They just released a new phone which looks identical to a 3 year old iPhone 5S, with a 720p resolution display, 1.3 MP selfie camera and will somehow get tons of people to buy them.

Apple can find a way to convince you to eat your own sh*t and after you taste it you'll be like "Hmm! Not so bad at all!"

They have released tons of features that have already successfully existed and make you believe it's a world's first. The crowd gasps "Ahhh!" over an Apple Watch announcement when an older Samsung Gear S was already out and literally did everything the Apple Watch can do. But remember it's Apple so "Ahhhh!"

I am done with their old, copied technology and their overpriced gadgets.

The LEAST they could have done is redesign the body of the SE.
