Yes it would. But for much better macro results, get yourself the 50 F1.8 or the Macro 35mm F3.5 lens.
-
It's simple, the 18-200 is not a lens specialized for Macro shots.
Get yourself a prime or the Macro 35mm F3.5 lens.
It is not the NEX-6, it's the lens. A lot tougher to capture nice and sharp...

Do you do a lot of cropping? Need more resolution? Need the Tri-Navi controls?
Get the NEX-7
Want better high ISO performance? Need the faster hybrid AF system? Want WiFi?
Get the NEX-6

Are you serious?
Why don't you go take a look at any other 55-210 from other camera brands?
This NEX 55-210 is by far the smallest and lighest I have ever seen or had.

When you click on the link it shows the regular discount prices of $949 and $1098....not the ones in that picture.

If you truly want low light and sharp images...you gotta go with the SEL35F18.
Getting a cheaper Sigma 19/30mm F2.8 will not help much.
There is not much difference from shooting at F3.5 or F2.8...

That's what I was trying to say.
The ISO could have easily been lowered to ISO 400 for 1/50 or even ISO 200 for a 1/30 shot which is easily capable with the OSS.
Instead, you have an unnecessary...

What's your point? Because that is exactly what I am trying to explain to you, but you are clearly not understanding.
The NEX-7 HAS ALREADY decreased in price. It is at $998 today, when it was...
-
They would not want to clear out the inventory.
Just look at the NEX-5N. It is still very popular even though the 5R is out.
They will leave the NEX-7 at $998, for those who don't want to spend the...
-
It will not drop in price. They already dropped it to less than $1000, a $200 drop since it was released. And the reason it dropped in price is because its replacement should be announced soon.
If...

Great pic. But my question is why ISO 1000 and 1/160 speed? Seems that it was taken under decent daylight.
-
The NEX-7 body and kit price has already dropped significantly. I believe it will stay at the price of $948 for body only and $1098 for kit.
Doubt Sony will drop it more, when the body was around...
-
I will just say this:
Once you get your hands on an NEX-6, with a few lenses and an adapter for your Canon L lenses.....you will not put it down. I will guarantee that your 7D will start gathering...

Any marks, scratches or dusting?
How much would you take for it?
-
How much do you want for the SEL50mm?
Does it have any marks, scratches or dusting?
-
Totally unnecessary.
With the NEX cameras being so light in weight, and with their Antimotion Blur / Handhend Twilight modes where they take many exposures and combine them into one image, reducing...

That's one of the ugliest cameras I have ever seen.
-
Well, you basically asked a question and pretty much answered it yourself in your own thread.
This sums up with what you get out of an NEX-6.
EVF, better high ISO capability, a higher-end...

The OM-D is a great camera....but I prefer a cheaper NEX-6 with the larger sensor and better image quality.
A lot of the OM-D's value is in the way it is built, since it is fully weather-proof.

Are there any small external flashes that fit the NEX-6 without an adapter?I haven't been able to find one. Thanks
