steelhead3: I have to say nice snaps; can we challenge the camera a bit; this is a very expensive camera. It probably is best camera for IQ of all and I want to see pitfalls, but an acknowledgment of its quality.is important to buyers.
How good does a Leica M9 Auto focus? this is the kind of camera market this camera was made for and it does a good job I think. Many of my friend that use Leica got this camera and they love it.
_vlad: Weird JPG colors, poor per-pixel sharpness, lots of LOCA W/O, frequently missed focus and unbelievable noise - maybe I am blind
Open your eyes
tecnoworld: Why not the same tests and articles for the samsung nx300, released about 5 months ago, with hybrid af? Af wise, it just placed ahed of nikon d7100 and pentax k5-ii on a german magazine, that cared to test it.
Samsung is not that good, get over it
All these would have looked much better with Instagram filters...LOLI think they are interesting but don't screw with what is already considered an ICON, just my opinion not saying the work that went into these were dump just not necessary,It's like repainting the Mona Lisa in crayon, just saying.I will say this, I think they were colorized excellent.
Are you planning to use this camera in a sporting event, well that's not what it's made for, use the best tool for the job it was designed for and there is not one camera out there that is perfect and can do everything if you think this camera should achieve that then keep on dreaming
white shadow: A reasonably good selection of shots in a variety of situation. Keep it up for other camera reviews like the coming 70D.
A good pocketable camera for travel but the price is rather expensive.
I am using a similar setup for travel; using a Zeiss ZE 35mm f/2.0 on the Canon 5D MkII. Seems to get better results.
Maybe DPR should do a comparison, if not with the 5D MkII then with the 5D MkIII with a Zeiss ZE 35mm f2.0 lens. If the result is on par or better then this IS the camera to go for if one want to travel light.
@ HowaboutRAW Interesting now you are saying Sony does not suck
You said it, you are blind
Depending on price this would be a game changer for the Chicago Tribune Iphone photographers ;)
Can't wait for the Samsung cardboard camera and Galaxy phone...LOLthis is just dumb, it's still a plastic printer inside does Samsung think people are stupid...Oooo wait yes they do people keep on buying their cheap crap so we all must be
Stanley Kubrick was a ingenious filmmaker and Barry Lyndon was a visual masterpiece.
Nice looking camera but I love my NEX-6
Who is Eric Kim?
bakhtyar kurdi: It is almost as good as Nokia Lumia 41MP, yes it is amazing, and the price is good compared to Leica, it is a dream pocket full frame camera, but my pocket is not deep enough, may be I get a $800 Sigma DP2Merrill instead, at low ISO and on tripod I can get as much as or more resolution out of it.Are they going to release a changeable lens version someday?
It's on the way that interchangeable Lens FF NEX-9, maybe even this year if you believe the rumors.Let's hope they release a few nice Zeiss prime lenses with it, not those Toit lenses...LOLEven then it will be just as expensive or even more expensive as that RX1
JEROME NOLAS: Is new Ricoh FF coming up? Ricoh already upset Nikon and now Sony is shaking....maybe just my wish...BTW superb IQ!
Sony shaking? nope I don't think so ;)
I'm waiting for the Hasselblad/Sony cell phone with wood exterior, shame they can't call it the Galaxy ;)
The emperor's invisible clothing comes to mind when I see this camera...LOLAnd the little boy screams out, but look it's a Sony!!Not knocking the RX100 I have used it and in my opinion it's the best point and shoot camera out besides the RX1, but this is just shameless from Hasselblad, at least with Leica they do tweak their Panasonic camera's a little before they put on that red dot....LOL
radissimo: Samsung problems in MY VIEW:1) flange distance -too short for Leica M lenses2) poor distributors- its a fraction of their income- less attention then real phot companies3) lenses not made by 3rd party (look at the Fuji)4) high ISO not great initially-e.g sensors were behind when they started (look at the SONY)
Yes I have no evidence of Toshiba making sensors for Sony just like you have no evidence of Samsung Lenses being better than Nikon and Canon ;)And well you might think that Toshiba sensor is good but there is a lot of people that say it's not, I can't care less what sensors Nikon puts in their cameras, all I know it will never be a Samsung one...LOL
Hey Idiot, Panasonic and Fuji has worked together on sensors development Sony and Aptina has sighed agreements to share Sensor patentsSony has bought Sensor manufacturing plants from Toshiba so they can keep up with production. These chips might say Toshiba but they are Sony
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to spot the fake reviews.I post them all the time...LOL
Hey Jack, you keep on believing in your dream world. If you want to see a stellar 85mm Lens look at the Zeiss branded Sony 85mm not your plastic fantastic NX lens, You are delusional to think it's that good, I'm not saying it's a bad lens just not that good. And I will comment on the car thing, even if he did not know that it was a stolen car when he bought it, he does now and he has no plans on returning it or acknowledging it, so that makes him a thief in my eyes. There is a saying you can lead the Donkey to water but you can't make him drink, so with that I'm done talking to you keep on drinking the Samsung Kool-Aid.
