nunatak: why is it anyone who is critical of Leica's business practices is a hater? Leica is the Louis Vuitton of cameras. a famous brand which caters to people who like to wear famous brands.

for some people this camera will be a great value. for most others, not so much.

@HowaboutRAW... Again you show how ignorant you are, these are Leicasonic lenses on this camera and Samsung can not even make lenses close to Sigma optical quality, so keep on spewing that junk.

Black Box: So he takes a mediocre studio photo and slaps it onto a mediocre landscape one, heavily photoshops the result, and sells it.

"I'm an artist"? I don't think so.

He got lots of money from Nike to do just that, so who pay's you again?

Retzius: Sony sensor + Epson viewfinder + Japanese lens + camera body milled by a Japanese CNC machine + final assembly by unionized EU laborers = German camera that captures the "essence" of photography

Makes sense

Spot on

For the price of the body you can buy a Sony A6000 with Zeiss 16-70mm F4 lens
and it comes with a viewfinder build in...LOL

PowerG9atBlackForest: Can you imagine how a naked, clinically dead metall piece milled down from a massive block of aluminum will feel in your hands. Warm and cosy? - Cold like ice!

Not to mention, what a waste of Aluminum

Sonyshine: This looks like a high quality camera that will no doubt perform beautifully....unlike the over - priced Sony's with lumps of wood and cow skin that Hasselblad pass off as an upmarket camera .... :))

Get over it, old news

People said Sony Mobile will never fly after they let Ericsson go.
Sad that the two giants of mobile phones Ericsson and Nokia could not survive, it looks like making the same boring phone year after year strategy of Apple and Samsung works good ;) that speaks volumes of how dump North American consumers are,
buying the same crap and falling for junk marketing...LOL

The 36mp Nikon is a Sony sensor and Sony has a 50mp Medium format sensor they sell to Hassy,Phase one, Pentax so who has the catching up to do exactly?

Boerseuntjie: Just like DPR Impressions and reviews should be taken with a grain of salt, Sony claims that the a6000 has the fastest AF performance on the market statements should always be taken with a grain of salt.
Nice upgrade for E-mount, hopefully new A- mount will have lost the Translucent Mirror and sport same fast AF ;)

Thanks T3 I was making fun at DPR ;) I like the camera and own the NEX-6, this camera sounds amazing to me but I don't understand why Sony would put a lower resolution EVF in the a6000 and not just use or match the NEX-6 EVF.

Marvol: Of all the ridiculous criticisms aimed at Sony by DPR over its last few products, this:

"While its 'NEX-like' design is getting a bit stale"

has got to rank as one of the best. DPR is really outdoing itself trying to find fault.

Do I REALLY have to point to every DSLR made by CaNikon looking exactly like the predecessor - and pretty much every other DSLR ever made for that matter - but with a different name badge? The Canon G-series?

And on the other side of course, when Sony DOES come out with a novel design, they get marked down for not being consistent or unable to settle on a good design or whatever.

Truly DPR, the depths you are plumbing. Get a grip.

Well Leica get's away with a "novel" design...just a brick with a lens...LOL DPR must be on crack.

I hope Sony re-badge this Hassy and lower the price...LOL one can only dream.
