Boerseuntjie: Nice update and features for the WX and HX series cameras, this makes me excited to see what Sony will bring with new RX line

If you believe the rumors the new RX100-4 will be using a 4/3 sensor and shoot 4K and will still fit in your pocket, we will just have to wait and see

Coyote_Cody: Funny I posted about this yesterday in Canon M forum w/ zero responses? Not many inquiring minds??

A 'clever' solution to the thickness issue, not useful for larger sensors though, unless space is the big issue.

Likely easier to do very fast multiple exposures and then blend them via h/w algorithms (like HDR but for 'normal' stills) for both jpg or raw.

Hope the engineers who came up with this got big bucks in apple buyout !! Good work, big daddy buys, big bucks!!

Now Samsung must solve the same problem - no issue for them of course, they certainly have ALL the necessary skills, apple likely did not, buying is easier!!

Read it and weep, you are full of nonsense jennyrae.

pew pew: the only thing is dislike about samsung is that they are copycats specially in phones but also in their cameras, the 1.2 firmware with changeable af speed for video is a feature they copied from sony cameras.

Really?, my comment is the dumbest in here, lets see half the crap comments in here are from Samsuck employees "including you" and I was not under the impression this was a discussion on Samsuck phones, ;)

@viking79 All Samsuck fanboys always like to say Samsung beat Sony by 6 months with the first NX10 camera or as I like to say the copy of Panasonic G1, the first NEX camera did not look like a Panasonic copy or any NX camera but wait what does Samsuck release next the NX100 or Sony NEX copy, so just shut your mouth already. your logic is like saying the Russians was the first in space but who cares we all know the Americans walked on the moon ;)

lacikuss: Incredible how engineering and miniaturization has been advanced by Sony:

Sony A7II Full Frame weight: 556gr

NIkon D750 Full Frame weight 750gr +35% more weight in same sensor

Olympus OM-D EM1 M4/3 frame 497gr -11% less weight half sensor size
I believe the Sony 7 line is comparable in size with the 35mm SLR Cameras...

this is great because it just proves that it can be made.

The funny thing for me is when the first Sony NEX line of cameras came out without IBIS and I skipped them basically because I could not imagine using a camera without IBIS, everybody made up these excuses for Sony saying it's impossible to add IBIS to these cameras because of sensor size and now Sony has showed us, you do not need a M43 sensor for IBIS, glad they did, it will be the first time I will seriously look at these cameras.

I don't think this camera will win over anyone soon, Samsung is loosing out bad to Sony, they are not even on top of Korean market share.

Archiver: Interesting that Zeiss have determined the Sony full frame E-mount system to be viable enough to create a whole new lens line, and that the market for manual focus lenses with declickable aperture is also enough.

They do work in crop mode ;)

OrdinarilyInordinate: This just looks like a Samsung NX3000/NX300M hybrid to me in a Sony package (shape and compact power zoom lens of the same range like NX3000, hybrid AF and touch screen like NX300/NX300M and many other Samsung versions, and 180 selfie screen like NX300M/NX3000).

That is because everything is made in China ;) and companies like to save money and rake in profit, but the more expensive stuff is made in Japan, or so they say...LOL

Lets see the Samsung NX10 or Panasonic GH1 copy was introduced Jan 2010, it was Samsung's first knock off, BTW Panasonic GH1 was introduced March 2009.
The NEX-3 showed up in June 2010 with the Samsung knock off NX100 showing up 3 months later in Sept 2010, so who was copying who again?
