The 85mmm f/1.8g has 7 rounded blades which will produce smooth bokeh. My main issue with the new lens is the crappy plastic build quality.

The biggest factor between 50 and 85mm is the compression. Thats why focal lengths from 85mm-135mm are considered best for portaits.

Nice to see a camera actually made in Japan. The X10 looks good on paper. I will wait for the reviews before taking the plunge. I am still leaning towards the Nikon p7100. Hard to resist cls.
