  • I am not a professional but just an amateur. I work with two monitors (like you) and for me the most important thing is that the two monitors are able to show the same image with the same colors. ...
  • I have arrived at the same conclusions with my A77 mounted on a tripod. Following the universal suggestion to switch off the steady shot, I have always had troubles in getting sharp images, ...
  • Replied in Tom
I fully agree. Even when I consider a picture good enough, at least a bit of sharping is almost always needed (is it that the OOC pictures of Sony cameras are a bit soft?). Sometimes, also the ...
  • Taking out the haze with ClearView function of DxO OpticsPro 10. Just a single command. Claudio
  • Created discussions Aperture: a humble suggestion.
I use Aperture 95% for making photo books of my travels around the world and I find the photo album feature of Aperture of an admirable flexibility (layout and text), not to speak about the high ...
  • Agree! Claudio
  • Unfortunately, I am in your same boat. I use Aperture almost exclusively for its photobooks feature. The problems is if they will continue to print the books made with Aperture in the next future. ...

Many thanks for the nice images. Once again it is proven that, unless in compelling situations like in very low light, very fast moving subjects requiring state of the art auto focus, heavy ...
  • Submitted a challenge entry Cayan Tower - Dubai
Cayan Tower, known as Infinity Tower prior to its inauguration, is a 306 metres (1,004 ft), 80 story skyscraper in Dubai. The tower is designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill SOM architectural group, the same group who did the concept design for the Burj Khalifa also in Dubai and Trump Tower in Chicago. Upon its opening on 10 June 2013, the tower has become world's tallest high rise building with a twist of 90 degrees.

  • So will I !!! If only could be possible in Photos book to modify the layout of the pages as in Aperture, I will be less concerned to switch to Photos. By the way, I do not make a single massive ...

  • Submitted a challenge entry Cayan Tower - Dubai
The Cayan Tower is a 73-story luxury apartment building with a striking helical shape, turning 90 degrees over the course of its 304-meter height. Each floor is identical in plan, but is set 1.2 degrees clockwise from the floor below, giving the tower a distinctive form by way of an innovative, efficient, repeatable structure.

The building’s twisted shape reduces wind forces on the tower and channels the wind in such a way that its forces are unable to organise themselves.

  • I have just had a quick look to the new Photo. On opening the program, you have immediately the impression to use iPhoto, miles away from the UI of Aperture. As I use Aperture to manage my travel ...
  • Reveal us your secret. What keeps you so "as fit as a fiddle"? Your family, your photos, your planes, your chasers or all of them? Happy birthday George! Claudio
  • I have just installed Photo. I have made a quick overview. I have opened a copy of one of my Aperture libraries and the suspects that this is no more than an upgraded version of iPhoto are ...
  • Dear Chris and DaPonti, first of all please excuse me for the delaying in answering you, but I have been out of town for the weekend. In addition, having cancelled the single images I have used for ...
  • I would like to share with you this Berlin pano taken with the A77. I came out 11th from a total of 81 (not very good, but not very bad either). Claudio CC welcome
