no viewfinder. poo
Why did they stop short of just making a phone? Just came back from a month long vacation and greece and didnt use my p&s once, just my galaxy s2 that was in my pocket anyhow with a local sim. The whole time i was asking myself why dont they just come out with a full blown phone-camera allready? Ide buy one... Guess ill have to keep on asking that question a little longer.

hmmm, the wait for a high end compact with a built in evf continues.... maybe fuji x11?
bikebum: seems like leapfrogs the competition in a number of stats (my favorite of all things is the built in lens cover :). very nice. but why no evf or at least a slot for adding one?!?! WHY?
lots of people are using xz1 and lx5 with vf and loving it... its a matter of personal preference of course but for me shooting through a vf feels like "right". holding up the camera a couple feet away from your face squinting at a lcd is just less immersive, i feel less connected to what im doing and take crappier shots :)

I share your dream, waiting and waiting for one to come out. I could care less about pixle counts and interchanable lenses (any lx5 class camera will do) but something about shooting with a good vf makes photography "magic" for me.
Guess il have to wake up and settle for an external vf which makes the dream a little bulkier and expensive

-built in flash
-evf compatible
-sweep panorama (why panasonic won't include this is beyond me)
-tilting lcd (again, shame on panasonic for purposely omitting this from the gx1 so as not to cannibalize video-friendly g series sales)
-relatively affordable price
only thing missing is compact lens, on which I'm willing to take my chances that will roll out sooner or later

Finally a superzoom with a useable viewfinder! That alone is a reason for me to upgrade from my FZ35. I wish they would have used it in the X10 and I hope to see similar VFs in future high end compacts like the likes of the LX6 and XZ-2...
