Does QX1 require a smartphone to be attached to operate? Or it can be used standalone (as QX30)?
iyer87: I own an NEX6, so the QX-1 is intriguing. But I want to know more about connection speed, lag, and the phone interface before taking a call.
Does the sensor have the super fast autofocus of the A6000?
If there won't be connectivity issues (known for previous QX models) and lag, I'll get one for shooting spherical panoramas. Being coupled with the Samyang fisheye, it will make a perfect lightweight combo for pole and air panos.
Mike FL: Just noticed that the Leica T is out of stock along with Nikon V3.
All three already manufactured Leica T's are sold. Leica management brings the deepest apologies to the line of photographers awaiting pre-ordered cameras. Both buyers will be served as soon as possible.
Definitely don't like colors of images produced with Leica T. Lifeless, dull, flat. Plenty of fringing.
1drey: Uh, and after release of new model based on this sensor Sony will produce a couple of lenses... in a year or so. And a couple more - during the next three years.
Want to call me narrow minded? I am not against good ideas and non-orthodox technical solutions.I just shared my observation over existing practice.
Please tell me - how many native high quality lenses for Sony A7(r) are available today, almost 8 moths after release of these fine cameras?

Much more attractive alternative imo: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/giroptic/the-worlds-first-full-hd-360-camera

1drey: DPR, don't you want to bring on the front page a photograph of Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, a member of Pussy Riot group - she is missing somewhere in the guts of re-born Gulag, hiding from the relatives, her advocates and public. Against all laws - even damned Putin's laws!
Did DPR got money from Putin's PR agency?
Potzreoty goes nahui
Artpt: @ 1drey, I read your link and saw the Pussy Riot documentary....she is committed and they cannot kill her for fear of martyrdom...keep the posts coming with updates...there are many causes and few interested.
@Artpt - glad to hear a voice of human. Unfortunately they can do with this woman whatever they want. As they do it now with other people. Tortures and humiliation - usual practice of Russian police and penitentiary system. Should I remind about absurd accusation of Arctic 30 crew in piracy? They are arrested over a month already - all crew, including doctor and cook. They arrested photographer who was not neither crew or Greenpeace group member.
Marcin 3M: Hopefully somewhere in space there's an Zippo lighter...
LOLThere should be a security agent with Zippo for sure (they are omnipresent) - http://youtu.be/nzwid7jeqiE
peterwr: And this is on a photography news site because...?
Because Ketchum got some money stolen from Russian people to get it on the front page of DPR.

Maciek_Leopolis: @Higuel/ "Absolutely no point in taking it unlit!"Except for 'enlighting' that whole Putin's propaganda... :(
Unlit "olimpic flame" sent into space for h(uge) load of money - isn't it a beautiful image of that post-Soviet phenomenon?
1 kilogram delivered to the ISS costs $20000.
Not impressed.Or, being precise - impressed, but in negative way.
What a terrible set of sample images.
Do they plan to produce Canon EF to Fuji X-mount? I would love to use my Canon EF 8-15 fisheye on (planned) Fuji X-E1
