I've bought my XE1 + 18-55 kit from an ebay seller located in Japan. Much cheaper than in local stores.
Bought a 18 XF lens from another Japan based seller - also cheaper than in the local stores.

Great image.
18XF keeps the straight light extremely well, almost no no flare and good contrast kept.
I would recommend to correct the CA - it is very noticeable and spoils the impression at 100%...

I am just stunned by
performance of this lens.

18 was the second Fuji lens I bought in addition to 18-55 - exactly because of the reasons you 've listed. Also it's bokeh is slightly smoother than 18-55.
I love it's compactness and fast aperture.

Thank you, Cluke!

What a terrible set of sample images.

Very good set. Thank you for sharing.

Nice shot, love people's faces expressions and tonality.
Do you have a version without headless figure standing on the right side?

I've been in the same position some time ago.
Bought XE1 with 18-55, second hand 18 XF lens - happy with handling and the lens quality.
Still keep my 5DMkII for shooting panoramas and...

Wow! Fuji cat has big balls! He must be dangerous when not sleeping.
Seriously - great graphs and nice samples. Make me want this lens even stronger.

Great set.
Big one at the bottom is my favorite.

Some people report that both Nikon and canon works okay.
My experience with YN RF602 is different - Nikon transmitter works fine on my X1- and XE1, Canon doesn't work.
-
Yes, it is a big problem.
I earn money for living shooting spherical panoramas of interiors, this type of the subjects often requires wider bracketing than just one stop. My 5dMkII provides 2 steps...

Thank you for sharing your experience with Kipon TS adapter!
Seems that it can be used as a solid replacement of Lensbaby Tilt transformer...

I am extremely interested in your opinion/samples. Considering the purchasing of this adapter.

With one important correction: you need a Nikon compatible setup.
I have both Nikon and Canon versions of YN RF602 - they are similar to RF603 in wiring - and only Nikon's trigger works with my...

LOL
I reemember the times of S3/S5 what everyone was kicking Fuji for NOT releasing new cameras every few month as Canon and Nikon did.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
