  • For one I use, and need at least a tilting screen. . . articulated is better for what I do. Fixed screens are a deal killer for me.

  • We is here, there. . . everywhere. . . 3d speaks for us.

  • Yes I have. Little to NO use for me. . . no in put or out put from what I see other than a smart phone. . . no shoe mount. . . it is a first step and hope this sort of camera evolves as does the Oly

  • Lest we all forget, prior to the early 1980's computers were in use in many forms, since the mid-1950 and used for a wide variety of tasks, then the PC arrived from IBM in basically a Open Form...

UMMM have you cccchecked the body only pricing for the Oly $1300 [with rebate of $100] vs. $2500 for the Sony body.

That's a serious pricing differential for my photo budget.

  • It is worse than an 'epic fail' and a 'me too' product would have been a better offering than what it is. . .

  • Hmm. . . been looking at B&H's site and they are still taking 'pre-orders. I did however decide to hold off to see might be coming out of Cologne this week. . . Canon's new offering is REALLY a...

I'd agree with both Tom and Revenant, HOWEVER, it seems that both companys are in many ways limiting what I want/need and often times need for making the shots I want/need . . . and I have no idea...

  • I'm on board with the time lapse. I would want/need a 4 digit shutter/image count though. Much of my timelapse requires more than 999 frames/images. Also, it would be nice if it was able to take...

  • This camera with a 1" or 1.5" sensor [less zoom of course] and likely I'd skip past the FZ1000, especially with Canon's 1.5" sensor.

Tired of seeing the 1/2.3 sensors

  • I was thinking [HOPING] Canon would come out with something more along the lines of the Pany FZ1000 at the show. . . but TRUE to form. . . this camera has little that I want when compared with...

  • I plan on purchasing the FZ1000 after it is out a month or two. My 'luck' will likely be that within a week after making the purchase, Canon will have a G2 Z out with the 1.5" sensor. . .

  • Canon hit a single with this offering. . . they could have hit a GRAND Slam [Go Mariners], if they had put together a package like the Lumix FZ1000 or Sony's RX10 with their !.5" sensor.

    Sony...

This 'retort' is for Z. Tosic ► I'm not sure what was available in Italy for pre-digital photography, but unless one had bulk film 'capability', every photographer I knew had to swap out a roll of...

  • Commented on Sigma announces dp1 Quattro article

I REALLY do wish Sigma would have some reasonable offerings for us enthusiasts.

Their sensor design really makes sense to me and with some bells and whistles like the Lumix FZ1000, they would have...
