I believe that this is the same camera as the Panasonic fz200.  If so, why spend the extra money on this camera.  Is it just for the Leica name, or are there other differences that I don't know?...

From your name 'toomanycanons', you know of whence you speak.  With a DSLR, I think the raw files might be easier for the camera to handle so take less adjustment than with a small sensor camera,...

THanks SirLataxe,I'll try the JPEGs to see if I like them.  I've heard that the jpegs are good, so I'll try it and maybe that'll save a step if I can take them right out of the camera and tweak...

Thanks RudyPohl,I was getting concerned that I had a bad copy.  My RAW files look washed out, noisy, and very unpleasant and yes I do use a DSLR and maybe because the sensor is larger the RAW files...

Yes, I agree.  I didn't know if it was the camera or my computer which is an old junker.  I liked what you did to the pic.  I processed from RAW files using the supplied software or Raw Therapee...
