How'd he manage to move the frame? camera movement on a slow-moving rig or PP?

Mirrorless Crusader: Wow, didn't even straighten the horizon? And what drab, boring colors. I can't believe this actually won a challenge.

It happens a lot here...not surprise.
But what makes interesting with this picture is actually the dog.

Honestly....this picture doesn't deserve the 4th., it's supposed to be the 1st. I just don't get it, I never will.
It happens all the time here!

On Nikon Df preview (2817 comments in total)

To have 5 AE Bracketing on a Nikon camera we have to shell out over 2k for it? Screw that!. I was so excited a few days a go and ready to make a list for christmas but NO, this thing really turned me off, not even close to resemble FE.

On Hands-on with the 20.7MP Sony Xperia Z1 post (81 comments in total)
In reply to:

Matt1645f4: Will never touch Sony again my wife and i both have Xperia T and have been returned both for faulty batteries which need replacing, mine has also has been sent back again since for another battery. and both constantly freeze, turn them selves on and off. over heath when not in use and generally the worse phone i've ever had. only good point is Sony's customer service has been first class but i worry thats only due to being used so often!!!

I think it's not the hardware, it's the software issues. Mine (xperia TL) did that too but after I flashed the most recent original sony firmware (not AT&T firmware) and debloated it, it runs as smooth as butter now, even battery lasts longer.

On Bolivian airline's demise documented in haunting photos news story (95 comments in total)

Talking about national airline, SABENA's case was worst than this airline, it's dead. SABENA also had a former WW 2 (RAF) pilot who was awarded Flying Cross. This LAB is dying but not dead yet. So what's so special about this?

On Olympus PEN E-P5 Preview preview (380 comments in total)

"The version currently in the Apple App Store doesn't support the E-P5, so we haven't been able to try out these features for this preview."

I guess Android doesn't exist there? No wonder Dpreview always hype Apple and iOS so up excessively.

On LIttle Boys challenge (2 comments in total)

I agree with klaas-rotterdam, that picture in the 2nd place is indeed a nice picture but it doesn't fit the challenge. The picture doesn't conform to the rules.
That's just my 2 cents.

On Olympus PEN E-P5 Preview preview (380 comments in total)
In reply to:

white shadow: One must really lay hands on one before they can appreciate the higher quality of this model. I think Olympus has done a good job refining the previous models to get where they are now. When Olympus introduced their first micro 4/3 Pens I didn't like them for the many flaws. So, I bought the Panasonic GF1 instead which I am still using. When I get the E-P5 eventually, the GF1 would take a back seat. However, despite the few years, the GF1 is still a very capable small camera.

Over the years, I have used many cameras. I have used the medium format (6X7), (6X6), 35mm film, digital 35mm and APS-C and recently, micro4/3, not to mention some point & shoot cameras.

I must say the picture quality of the E-P5 is more than acceptable especially if one needs a camera for travelling and street photograpghy. Often, one must be discreet in order to get the picture and that's the ultimate objective. Just imagine walking around with a digital medium format camera like a Hasselblad in a market.

Who wants to walk around in the market with Hasselblad hanging around the neck anyway?

On Stock Android HTC One announced post (7 comments in total)

I prefer their BinkFeed than boring looking stock android home screen. I wanted to buy this phone because of the hardware and of course its BlinkFeed but the 5MP camera really turned me off.
Still HTC BlinkFeed looks a lot better than stock android.

Right.

Timmbits: Classified on DPR as "camera news"?
First they wouldn't let the filter stick to filter out this nonsense from the photography site... now they recategorize it to force us to see it under camera news.

Whatever
