On The X-factor: Hands-on with Fujifilm's X30 article (34 comments in total)

i selected Olympus XZ-2 over Fuji X20
Now X30 has only better it by having the EVF......

Was hoping to go back to Fuji.

consider this like a digital LOMO with interchangeable lens.
More of a fun camera than a serious DSLR

tommy leong: a camera designed for selfie
BUT FORGOT to add shutter button for selfie

HAHAHAHA
brilliant !

a selfie shutter button
is designed to go with HOW you hold a camera during selfie.

gipper51: Wow, the negative comments on this site amaze me.

Love or hate the guy's work, there is no doubt he has talent, skill, a consistent style, and works hard. That's what it takes to make it as a pro.

And hate to break it to you, but comments like "he's not not a photographer, he's a photoshopper"...well...paying clients want somebody who can do more than just click a shutter button at ISO 6400. The image matters in the end, not how it was created. This guy is obviously getting paid some big bucks by big clients.

If you want to be a hater on actual working pros who have "made it" in this field, please post a link in your hateful comment to your better pictures you've been paid to create.

you mean to say because he paid big bucks
therefore it justify that he is a photographer?

conversely, if he is not paid very much,
or in fact, he can't make any money ( like Van Gogh )
then he is not?

In reply to:

michael19843: Not a fan of these straps which strain your neck and bounce off your stomach while you walk. An over the shoulder strap is better if you are going to walk around a lot with your camera. The alternative is just to use a camera bag with a good shoulder strap like the Artisan & Artist bags and just hold the camera without any strap. I've taken off my Canon strap and it's now far easier to access my camera via my Artisan & Artist bag without a useless and annoying pointless strap getting in the way. I'd suggest the Black Rapid RS 7 if you need to have a strap for quick access rather than use your bag for storage while you walk. There's a few posts here about security straps which you can't easily cut. If a career criminal is going to steal your camera with a knife they'll almost certainly just take the camera off you. If this happens call the police immediately a non cut strap will not provide any benefits and could lead to a stabbing if the criminal can't cut the strap.

try using that with a camera bag in tow ;)

literally giving the camera away.
BUT that grandma's bad TOTALLY turned me off.

plus whats 'standard zoom' and 'standard prime' ?
Is Pentax still selling to photographers or to some granny

the shorter the camera , the more they should have handle like
a DSLR.

I think we need to rethink the ergonomics of such small video cameras

if you go on ebay.
THIS particular design is One Dime a Dozen.

Why doesn't DPreview do a review of those ?

novak977: amazing how A7 is ignored while being MUCH better value being FF for just a bit more money.
for example EVF is a bit smaller but it is not even shown here along with other cameras.
This is nice but APS-C camera, with lot of useful features but nothing really exciting, nothing that can give you FF experience on budget.

absolutely agree with jl_smith here.
THERE is only one reason for me to go FF'
that is 35mmf1.4 depth of field look which only a FF
on wide like 35mm can produce.

EVERYTHING else can be done with APS-C
