yes Greg VB

when jpeg are great, i stop there
cause i don't like to spend time with RAW files.
( on the other hand, i sometimes add DxO film simulations to my shots ).

i was looking at jpegs near the feathers and the brushes.
Typically i like to look at natural items cause they have more details
than printed materials.

"...On the right side of the camera you'll find the cover which hides the I/O ports (shown later) and the lens at its full telephoto position. "
.
What does this mean ? the cover hides the lens at full telephoto ?

saralecaire: 1080p at 30fps for an "action" cam, in 2014? and they're trying to compete with GoPro? Ricoh's consumer and market research team needs an overhaul.

yeah, completely agree.
Even GoPro is under tremendous pressure now. ( pun intended )

if the sensor is rotatable,
that would make this a seller !

sneakyracer: Canon is celebrating the 80th anniversary by lowering prices...because they don't have any new and exciting products ready for photokina...hey, il take it, if they can't compete with new and exciting technology lowering prices is a good idea.

or they have huge installed base, and now is the time to take advantage of that....
( while Sigma tries to steal whatever they can )

i selected Olympus XZ-2 over Fuji X20
Now X30 has only better it by having the EVF......

Was hoping to go back to Fuji.

consider this like a digital LOMO with interchangeable lens.
More of a fun camera than a serious DSLR

a selfie shutter button
is designed to go with HOW you hold a camera during selfie.

gipper51: Wow, the negative comments on this site amaze me.

Love or hate the guy's work, there is no doubt he has talent, skill, a consistent style, and works hard. That's what it takes to make it as a pro.

And hate to break it to you, but comments like "he's not not a photographer, he's a photoshopper"...well...paying clients want somebody who can do more than just click a shutter button at ISO 6400. The image matters in the end, not how it was created. This guy is obviously getting paid some big bucks by big clients.

If you want to be a hater on actual working pros who have "made it" in this field, please post a link in your hateful comment to your better pictures you've been paid to create.

you mean to say because he paid big bucks
therefore it justify that he is a photographer?

conversely, if he is not paid very much,
or in fact, he can't make any money ( like Van Gogh )
then he is not?

On Review: Ona Lima camera strap article (144 comments in total)
In reply to:

michael19843: Not a fan of these straps which strain your neck and bounce off your stomach while you walk. An over the shoulder strap is better if you are going to walk around a lot with your camera. The alternative is just to use a camera bag with a good shoulder strap like the Artisan & Artist bags and just hold the camera without any strap. I've taken off my Canon strap and it's now far easier to access my camera via my Artisan & Artist bag without a useless and annoying pointless strap getting in the way. I'd suggest the Black Rapid RS 7 if you need to have a strap for quick access rather than use your bag for storage while you walk. There's a few posts here about security straps which you can't easily cut. If a career criminal is going to steal your camera with a knife they'll almost certainly just take the camera off you. If this happens call the police immediately a non cut strap will not provide any benefits and could lead to a stabbing if the criminal can't cut the strap.

try using that with a camera bag in tow ;)
