Because:
the colors are nice but not accurate (my dog is yellow brown, not red brown)
highlights tend to be blown out, at least it does not make use of the highlight headroom my OM-d offers (the...

Oh, I forgot to write about lens profiles:
You don't need dedicated lens profiles as mFT RAW files have the profile embedded in the file.
If you really really want, you can download dedicated...

Yes, might be copy to copy variations.
But I and someone else made test chart pixelpeeping indicating the lens is slightly better at the long end (and the long end is the reason one buys this lens...

These are ISO6400 and 1/10s, it was nearly dark outside, more or less only street lights which are not very bright.
I was very impressed. Good colors at high ISO. And IBIS helped a lot. All shots...

I have a OM-D but assuming it is similar to your PL5:
I also use "universal preset for OM-D..." by archeolab but I have reset all color options because color handling was not good for me. But I...

I had the 75-300 Mk1 lens and sold it because of AF issues. Later I saw some test-chart comparisons (in German olympus forum) that convinced me that the new Mk2 lens is slightly better than the old...

I found "DNG recover edges". Obviously it only works for DNG files, so I use it when really needed.
Maybe someone else can hint another tool?

This is what I do because OM-D has quite alot highlight headroom and the "blinkies" preview:
I shoot RAW and overexpose by +0.3 ... +1.7 EV till the orange blinkie appears. The JPG preview looks:...

I would say it short like this:
if you like 1:1 magnification or more (less than 17mm FOV), like 20 or 30cm distance and if you don't mind using a tripod: take a +3 or +5 diopter
if you want 50cm...

Yes, this one is interesting too. The diameter problem is more than "solved" and I think it has "only" +2 diopters which would be quite good with 300mm tele.
-
The Raynox 250 has +8 diopters, I think this is absolute overkill on a 300mm tele. I would suggest +2 or +3 diopters, see below.
I used the Marumi +3 on my 14-150 and now on my 75-300. Works good,...

Yes, if you:
enable IBIS on half shutter press
go to the SCP "IS" settings, press "Info" and manually set the focal length to the correct value between 8 ... 1000mm

Oh yes, you are right. But I can not cross my eyes this much.
I can only look straight to the pictures to overlap them, for this they have to be as wide as my eye distance. 1920 pixel screen surely...

Hi Zeev,
The idea is fantastic, I really love 3D photos...
But I had some problems cross-eying your stereos. I think at least the last one is crossed, the right eye should not see around the corner...

Our tomcat, quite relaxed
After 9 months they finally are friends. But only for 5 minutes if lunch is in sight ...
As you see our cat has a new "friend". The dog had to learn who is the boss,...

Oh, I read your idea about skipping both to late.
Here I have another idea to make the confusion even bigger:
I skipped the 12/f2 and got the Samyang7.5 and the Pani12-35 instead. What about this?

Some weeks ago I posted a comparison between the two lenses (and others).
http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3383965
My conclusion in very, very short words:
similar sharpness if you allow the...

Yes, I can get quite close with my Samyang too. I believe the 0,1m focus distance printed on the focus ring is measured from sensor as I can nearly touch the subject with my front lens. I guess the...

I love this closeup.
I know it is not easy. I tried some closeups with my 9-18 lens and had some nice shots. But with the fisheye I noticed that is hard to get a pleasant background. Almost...
