I use a 17-40 for exteriors and interiors. Lens corrections added in camera raw and ALL verticals corrected in photoshop, this is a must. I also use a step ladder to get a better perspective on the...

Hi. The houses I shoot are usually in the £1m+ range and a typical house will take 4-6 hours but sometimes I have to go back to get a good exterior in the right light. I don't have any problems...
-
I charge £50 per room/exterior so a typical house will be £250-£300. I only do the stills, sometimes panoramas if requested but not floor plans and this is in the Buckinghamshire and Berkshire area.

It is not wise to use the pc socket on the camera to trigger studio flash. The voltages can be high enough to damage the flash circuitry in the camera as this happened on my 1DsMKIII so I speak...

Hi Alex. Yes you need to reformat the card in the camera even a new one. I have a usb card reader which works fine on all my macs with any of my cards which are all Sandisk. I can't answer your...

Also, the firewire 400 connection on the 1Dsmkii is not supported on new Macs.
-
Because the 1Dsmkii is an old camera it may not be supported by current EOS utility. Try using the Utility that came with the camera. I have used both these cameras and a 1Dsmkiii and 5Dmkiii with...

This a known issue with CS6 as I have been in contact with Adobe and they admit the problem. You have to use the lens correction in CS6 camera raw instead which works fine.
-
Did you have long exposure noise reduction turned on? This kicks in on exposures longer than 1 second.
-
Sorry to hear you are still having an issue. Shooting whilst tethered should now work fine but to transfer images stored on card it is best to use a card reader for now.
-
It might help to use a card reader to import images and use the application Image Capture to import to your designated folder. I shoot a lot with the camera tethered to computer and the images...

I am using 2.12.0.0 which I had from another Canon camera. I don't think you can download this version anymore so see if you know of anyone with the older version you can borrow.
-
I had exactly the same problem and resolved it by installing an earlier version of EOS Utility and now all works fine. There is obviously a problem with the latest version and Mountain Lion.
-
Everything that has been said here is good advice. Also, if using this lens on a tripod you must turn off the IS AND use a cable release especially at the low shutter speed you were using. Also,...

Have you tried opening 'Image Capture in Applications when the Wi-Fi transmitter app is open and select from the bottom left drop down window what you want to happen when this device is connected?...

Oops, just realised you are using Aperture and not Photoshop, sorry. However, Aperture is renowned for being memory hungry so more ram would be good whatever you do.
-
I have the Mac Pro you are considering and I don't have any issues with it being slow processing raw files from my Canon 5D mark III. I have 12 GB of ram but very rarely use it all. Make sure that...

Hi. I am wondering what those people who have a 5D mark III and use Adobe camera raw to process their images, what sharpening settings you use for low iso images. I use 35, 0.5, 80 but I think I...

I'm sorry to hear you have had problems with tethering your 5DMKIII but I have been tethering using this camera to my Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion and my Mac Pro running Snow Leopard with no...
