Seems like a decent camera, if a llittle uninspiring. What a great choice of compacts we have these days.
Why all the focus on sensor sizes? Isn't pixel pitch more important? The RX100 has a larger sensor but nearly twice as many pixels. Or did I miss a square law somewhere?
While the technology behind this is interesting, the release of this design concept is hardly the kind of 'news' I expect to see on a serious photography website. Please don't dumb down the content to the level of your average Facebook user!
Thery are going to issue a firmware update to change the white orbs to black orbs.
I reckon the only thing really wrong with this camera is the price. All the other 'issues' being complained about are design compromises, which have to be made in every camera.
At the end of the day, this camera is another option for taking pictures. Why complain about having more options?
Pre-order price in Australia is AU$1,199. Way too high, which is a shame cos I really like it.
Canonrumors has a link to some ISO comparisons on a French website. They look pretty good.
