That's interesting. I've got a couple of cheap Chinese remotes too, and they worked on my GH1 and GH3. So I'm not sure what makes the G5 so special. Care to link what you bought?
-
No, not until Vitaly or someone else releases the hack for it.
-
No, only JPEGs get transferred.

Yes and yes. You can select the AF point as well.

They're FD lenses, so they can't AF to begin with.

I think that's mostly speculation on his part. The camera is still a year away at least, that means it's still in development, possibly at a fairly high level. Most leaks tend to be from those...

Yes.
Though I also want a filter ring. 8-16/2.8 perhaps?

Hydration is important, especially on longer photo shoots.

Unless I missed something, they're 1.5 megapixel images.

Gah, this thing needs to die. The GH3 is a very capable stills camera.
If that's not enough for you: I bought the GH3 over the E-M5 to replace a Nikon DX system. In a photography business.
Now,...

Thanks for posting the samples, though I'd have loved to see some 100% crops. I'm thinking of going full mirrorless (Micro Four Thirds is now my main system) but would like a long lens option. A V2...

That wasn't the impression I got when I tried the 70D with the 18-55 STM against my GH3 with the 12-35.
What makes the 70D nicer is that, being PDAF, it doesn't have to rack the focus back and...

That's just awful. I hope those affected complain to Amazon as well - cut out the reason why he's doing it.
-
Actually, that's what I kind of want to know as well. When you get the Nikkor 400mm, care to post some full-sized samples? Thanks!
-
All I can say is, wait for Vitaly to hack your camera? :P Panasonic aren't likely to change this soon. I've been moaning about other things for a long time...

Yes, provided M42 to CY mount is properly made. The former is just to ensure the m42 lens has a proper flange distance for the CY mount, and to give it the right bayonet mount. The only problem is...

Personally I hang out at dvxuser.com.

That's not correct. All displays use a bunch of coloured dots to make up a pixel. CRTs and LCDs alike. Most use three suib-pixels: Red, green and blue dots.
In fact, the OLED screens on m43 cameras...

Did you just ask for a complex mirror assembly to be added to a tube that is 20+mm in thickness?
-
It's silly alright, but also note that your electrical systems are likely to be 50hz, you might want to use 50 fps when indoors with fluorescent lights anyway.
