I think there's report of contrast detect AF in the X-E1 vs phase detect in the XPro-1...that could be a huge deal....possibly enough to warrant a "downgrade" to the XE-1, should the OVF be optional to the interested photographer....
I also got the sense that DPReview was satisfied, but not blown away by AF speed improvements....They key is whether this camera can focus on relatively fast-moving action....therein lies the challenge.
personally, at the sacrifice of size, this lens can effectively replace both the 18 mm f/2 and the 90 mm f/2.8 for typical use (with loss of macro and some speed). It's not much bigger than the 90 so wouldn't take up that much space. For fast AF (wonder if it's as fast on the XPro-1, which doesn't have contrast detect AF), I'd snag it....
Though Fuji, if you are reading this, please make us a 135 mm f/2 equivalent...an 85 mm f/2 would give people a classic 35/85/135 lineup option as well....
This is how you build a system...Great work...The zooms are icing on the cake, even though I'm not sure that they are for me....the 14 & 23 mm f/1.4 are must buys...not sure about the pancake, as it's not really a pancake system. That 56 mm might be a drop dead awsome portrait lens!
Wish I coiuld have shot with you here in Seattle...Looks liek you guys have quite the set up of Seattle photogs shooting Leica...great caps...
M9M in seattle....wish I could have met up with you!
Yup, agreed that high ISO rocks, but base ISO, it appears a bit mushy...
